301 013 update firmware

Hello.
To take software update. Should I leave the card inside receiver or remove it before software update? Thanks for any help.

I always leave them in, never had a problem yet, but u can take it out if your want, I'm not sure if the receiver will update w/o it though.,

as long as the contacts are broke it will update. I think it was rax said he used a business card before. I myself use a rom 10 that has the box keys and ird # on it not that matters just seems like the thing to do. If it is working for me I usually stay with it.
