Sorry to bother you guys,with such an old guestion.But I have not seen this,since the old days,of rom3 and rom10's.been reading all morning in theards but can't find info I need.Can someone,Please give me the sequence of buttons(on remote)that is used to,break channel lock,on a 3700?I'm talking about,looks like somebody(maybe in the past,for some reason)tried to lock out certian channels.Again,sorry to bother you guys,and much thanks for the help,in advance!!!

I'm not sure if it will work with your 3700 however this is what I did to unlock my 2700. when it asks for the password just push the right arrow on your remote until th "ok" is highlighted and press ok on the remote. You should now be able to unlock system or channels whatever you need to do. Good luck, hopefully this works for you.

well that did not work,but thanks for the reply.back in the day,there was a sequence of buttons to push,on remote,that would unlock channels,but for the life of me,I can't remember what they were.its been a long time.

Too many children figured that out and so Dish software prevents that now. You have to JTAG your IRD and write it back as virgin or use a program I posted in the public files which will give you the password so you can chang/edit/delete it.

The file name (I believe) is weim32.exe. If you can't find it pm me with an e-mail addy and I'll send it to you.

The remote nv ram dump it was called and yes the new firmware ended it from unlocking the receivers now. The lock is stored in the eeprom so the 2 options are to either read the eeprom image and open it in a hex editor to find the password or to virginize the eeprom.
