I have been using this Jtag for years on dozens of 2700-3900's. I finally jumped into the new era with a few 301s and 510s, and I am being overly cautious. I have a 301 going now, cuz it had a ex sub card.

This Jtag I have is supposed to do the 301 but I am unsure how to set it up. Does anyone have the spex on one of these, or could just tell me how to configure it?

Alrighty, I found a diagram. I guess the 310.13 has the same jtag setup as what I have been using all along (2700-3900).

Still, if anyone has any info on this jtag, it would still be useful.

Why not post the diagram for all to see?

Sure. This pic is not pertaining to my particular device, however it does contain the jtag points for the IRDs with jtag pads.

WOW
do you have the jumpers for it?
is it buffered ? could not see from pics.
Did some reading and found gunther's guide 1.3 has alot of the info for a 301.13
If it worked on a 2700 it should work on a 301.13 . Is it a single or dual?
Just GRD it good and remember in JKEYS to detect and hit the scrool down tab to the correct TSOP - Single or Dual.

I dramatically over thought this whole process (I often do). I found out a few seconds before soldering that both 301's I recently acquired have jtag pads on the bottom just like every IRD I have ever done (except the 510).

After cutting a whole in the case, this thing was as easy as a 2700-3900 to read from using my jtag device. I didn't need to vid mod or ground anything, (the jtag device automatically does this I believe - either way, it works!).

EDIT: Out of the two 301's, one was as mentioned above, the other did need R79 grounded, then it jtaged perfectly.
