viewsat extreem not taking program

I am trying to program my viewsat extreem and it is just sitting there and not taking the new program. The origonal program will works I just can not get channels with out a new program.

Did you power off the viewsat first, then start the loader ?

Check if the com port is right ? com1 , com2 ?

This is not your problem I'm sure , I do mine with my laptop and I leave the null cable conected to the fta . One time I was trying to load a file and it would just sit there and do nothing. A couple of minutes later I realized I had forgot to plug the other end of the null modem cable to my laptop, I was glad nobody was watching me.

So anyway if it just sits there and won't load that would mean it's not making a connection , check your connections and settings on com port and like el6 said don't forget to sut off before you hit the program button and then turn the receiver on
