How may Sats are U running on this switch?? I've been told that the outdoor climate shouldn't have any effect, but if you want, just get a small clear bag & cover it.

2nd part of your Q: I have 3 sats & my switch is right next to the dish & I catch all 3 sats, but I'm having a problem when trying to channel surf. 110 (port 3) come's in all the time but from there, trying to get 61.5 (Port 1) or 119 (port 2) , requires to power off/on the stb (coolsat 5k Pl.) & it works. Now I just order a new Chieta brand switch & hopefully that will work however others on this forum have also suggested to place the switch closer to the stb.

Good luck, I will try to update this forum if all is good!!!

sk:)

I have heard the disqec switch should be fairly close to the receivers. I have a 3 sat input , 4 output located near the receivers. About 1/3 of the coax is between the switch and receiver and 2/3 of the coax is between the LNA's and the switch . It works just fine, no problems.

it doesnt matter if you put the switch right next to the dish,or close to reciever.i put mine next to dish outside to save on coax.no need to run 3 coaxs all the way in,just 1!!!

In total, how many feet of coax is it from your LNB's to your receiver?? Mine is approx 125 feet.

i have around 75 feet in total from the switch to the reciever,i gave myself a little slack on both sides incase i wanted to move the tv to a different location.i install dishnet systems, coax is good for upto 200 feet or so before you start loosing any signal.
