Its a CCAD build according to the mobo sticker
I've tried to program it with several different tsops
but it won't detect the Sattelite signal or my Dish 500 twin lnb
the cable is fine because my 3900 works great
what could be the problem?
if it is electronic what should i test?
if its a programing problem whitch Tsop or eeprom build should i be using?
Please can anyone help me.
Thanx in advanced

You need to download a good tsop from the public download section. Then go into flashedit and change the downloaded tsop to your bk and ird number. Then change whatever build you downloaded to yours. You only need the first two letters to match from the downloaded file but you much change them to match all 4 letters to your receivers build config. in flashedit. Then click on fix CRC. Then save as personnal dump. Then click on save as virgin eeprom. Now you will have two files saved. Then in jkeys, erase your full tsop then write both files to your receiver.
Hope this helps......

4900's can be real picky when it comes to the right tsop flash to make them work properly. Best to find a flash that has all the same build numbers, but I have gotten them to work with similar flash build configs, but the more letters that match the better.

4900 is a pain in the ass 3900 with optic dolby output is all. If you don't use the optic out clone the pile to a 3900 unless you get stuck with it's matching uhf remote 3900 firmware on it will want blue button infrared remote format.

If you follow Mopar's instruction above, you should not have a problem. Be sure to erase your flash properly, a few times. As you re-flash , be sure to follow the instructions that J-Keys provide. Make certain that you use the correct version of flash edit and make the eprom a Virgin. Once you do this, you will have no problem acquiring the satellite signal. A 4900 is no more difficult than any other IRD. Just take your time and you should be able to do this in less than an hour. You don't need to use a 3900 firmware setup.

You can find a Dish Network Modded TSOP file for the 4900 here. hxxp://www.rom10x.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=208. Try to use the ones that begin with [cc] and one of these should work fine. Be sure to name the eprom file, the same last two letters that you use from the new modded tsop file that you download.
You may also look here in the files section to see if one like yours is available. I'm sure some 4900's are in this files section. Change the hxxp to http above, I can't post a live link to it. Good Luck.
