301.013 IRD questions....

I got a 301.013 from my cousin. He hasnt been in the stream since April 05. Do i just follow Gunthers guide 1.3 to jtag/jkeys it? How do i know if its dual TSOP? Also on the bottom there is an open slot which looks like the jtag port. I think i read i have to cut an opening for the jtag. thanks

well for this u will have to open ur IRD, if u see 2 tsop's it's dual, also u can download images from this site to get an idea of what ur looking at, try searching this site for soldering points. good luck

i opened the IRD up to compare some of the images against that of Gunthers guide. The jtag points on top do not match the bottom ports so im assuming the bottom is not the jtag. when looking at the MOBO i only see 1 Omega STi55xx chip, so im guessing its a single tsop.
