So given the dodginess of living in Canada and buying in Canada, at least for the moment, what about problems with stuff bought elsewhere being shipped across the border? Does it ever get flagged or seized?

Is it more-or-less safe to ship to your own address or should you always take precautions, like fake address or po box acqured with assumed identity?
Or does usually sail across the border smoothly?

I've never had a problem with products coming/going across the border, and I've shipped and received a lot of stuff internationally. I think the shipping is really safe. As long as it's not something like drugs you should be fine. A trick for hiding rom cards that works pretty good is to wrap them in carbon paper. The x-ray machines cant see through carbon paper.

Why would the boarder patrol seize your MO? That makes no sense. No reason at all to stop a MO. I'd guess something else happened like the dude claimed he never got it when he did or the like.
