I did not open the IRD. I am very new at this. Nol lights at all on front panel.
These are the files I used as sugested in another forum, DSS Central.
U41.bin
U45.bin
CNADeeprom-bin
6000HD with Voom.pfg
With my buffered jtag read IRD. First applied file to eepromm. Second erase original tsops and flashed with new ones. Used after atmega 18.432. Cleaned eeprom and entered keys. Full monty next. Inserted atmega (found it hard to insert. Connected cable feed and never got any power. What next. Realy apprecite any advises. Tks.

The link below has all the files I put inside the IRD. Are they correct? I used "Wanna_be's guide" and followed it step by step. With jkeys flashed U45 first and U41 next.

try to reflash it again using the bfl jumper this time.
If you have a multi meter check the power board inside make sure it is getting power to the mother board. the pins are marked on there for what voltage should be to which pin. Does not have to be exact but close to the markings.
I bet when you jtag it it is going to give you a error and not recognize the chip. So be sure to bfl it before you power it up.
Flash the eprom first then try to read it again.
If it powered up before then you problem is more than likely going to be something to do with the tsops.

Tks FUBR. But what is bfl jumper? where do I find it and what do I do? I do not have a meter. One of my contractors (electritian) has it and will check it for me on monday. How does the power board looks like? Sorry for so many questions but...when you don't know, you have to ask.
you cant miss it it the thing inside that looks like a power board.
Try to read back from last month on the search page there are a few threads to read on the bfl mode. Pretty much have to use it when a 6000 act up. It is a wire soldered on two points on the board to make the reciever boot a certain way.
go over a few other things makes sure all the solder is off the pads and not shorting out. Plug a card in the slot and pull it out to see if it will reboot.
Go ahead and reflash it unless you are 100% sure it took the first time.
these fuckers can be a pain so maybe you should read some more other than this thread.
lots of good post to read just be sure you search back further than this week.

I'am back. Been reading and posting like never before. So far you have been the only one w/ answers. Still ird does not power up it makes noise inside when i connect to outlet.
Did the jtag again and on box keys it is all FF FF FF FF ......
Receiver # is now R -0 0000 00001-96
Corrupt? any medicine or hammer it down will do? tks again
might be ok,Did you read the bfl mode and try it. Check connections again and again. try diferent jkeys.
try to open two jkeys windows and let the one tell you ffff/ffff and work with the other to get it to detect. use the drop down boxes to select your model.
seen it before more than once most of them except one I was able to get it back but it took days of fucking with it before it came up with right info.
