this is a 301.013 single running tomico(atmega). wanted to change over to satvia fix. vidmod still hooked up. r79 still hooked up to clip. erased flash 3x. tried 10+ tsops doing the following: changed bk's, ird, build(dahd) using mostly daha build tsops. saved new bin, virgin eeprom. flashed ird. jkeys detects all info. unplpugged, flipped vidmod switch, unhooked ground. plugged back in. no power light. tried many, many flashes. dude what the f$#% am i missing?

Now that you have a good tsop on IRD you can make your own modded tsop with flash edit

the tsop on it now has the current software and already has the satvia ird and box keys on it. do i need to save and reflash again? if so what would make that work? ty

On the 301.013 you must remove the SK from tsop before it will work. To do this save your new tsop. Open flash edit. select the file you just saved. Click advanced. Make the IRD numbers and boxkeys right. On the drop down box select "301.13 sk remove atmega". Click apply scrip--save--then write that to your tsop.

i had done that to begin with, maybe that's why i'm having problems. is the sk not to be removed until current software has been obtained? the sk remove tab in FE says "p208 only" so i removed sk's before it was current. i will try it again now with p342 but so far am having no luck.

taking p342 tsop to FE, fix crc, remove sk's, applying script. taking eeprom from p342, fixing crc, virginize eeprom, applying script. flashing tsop w both. no power. wtf?

If reciever updates it messes up sk. Take newest FW--fix in FE. If you are running atmega make sure u use the correct "SK remove" script because ird# and Boxkeys are different for atmega and plastic.

copy-paste into notepad--save as "301-13 SK remove atmega.fs" Put in same folder as Flash Edit.

using 2beta9 and i see only one sk remove for 013's. guess i'll start over with the p209 and go from there. did like 4 satvias on 3900's a month or so ago, easier than this... please let me know if i'm supposed to use a different version of FE. thank you.

Your FE is ok you just need the right ".fs" I'll pm you.

okay i got it, thanks grizz. i guess there's a special .fs file needed to apply to the 301's in FE. got that far, got to restream and start from scratch, but i'm sure i've got it now. sure fucking felt like something was missing!
