Twostep, couldn't get that second thread to work
Went over to rom10x to see what it could have been but couldn't find it and instead got drawn into a long thread about Snags saying he was being tailed and his phone is being tapped. think he was joking!

Yeah, someone over there deleted the thread; it was starting to get a bit wild.
Rumors all over the place that HashHU rolled over; sold their entire email database for an undetermined amount of cash. Apparently lots of folks took it serious; they started a "please delete my account" thread at Hash.
Their admin is claiming a co-admin that was "fired" did indeed steal a 30,000-member email list and used it to start a new site.
Who knows.

It looks from the artical that I read, it may not be possible to carry out such a crackdown in the same manner as they did this in Canada, in the states. Canadian law is much different than U.S. law. I can visualize huge lawsuits againts NagraStar, EchoStar and Switzerland's Kudelski Group from U.S. citizens if they take matters in there hands such as they did in Canada. However, this is just my opinion. Inorder to enforce the Forth amendment that deals with search and seizure, law enforcemen agencies would have to carry out such an operation, not NagraStar, EchoStar and Switzerland's Kudelski Group.
EchoStar conducted the raids along with Canadian telecommunications company Bell ExpressVu and NagraStar, a joint venture between EchoStar and Switzerland's Kudelski Group that makes security systems.
The companies received Canadian court approval for the raid after a yearlong investigation, EchoStar said. The locations included private residences, a manufacturing facility, a store and three Web sites that were involved in the distribution of satellite signal theft devices, the company said.

I'm not sure which Canadian law permits a manouever like that! A new one it would seem.
It's unclear to me when the companies recieved the court approval, I've looked around and can't find any mention of it (the busts recieved next to no attention in the Canadian media).
I'd be tempted to blame our new porcine prime minister but that might be paranoid since a good part of his conservative base is hacking dish to get Fox news ;)
