please run a check switch. this is with both a 3900 and 4900. a friend has reprogrammed the cards ran the check switch and still comes us with the check switch messages. whe he uses his sub he has no problem with the switch at any of the sat feeds but when he uses his atmegas he keeps getting the switch problem on both boxes. any suggestions

So take update then use no RAS mode.

He means No RSA mod... it means you only modify the IRD and BOX key, you dont apply a patch that changes the RSA keys in the firmware - that way when you need to take F/W updates you dont have to remod your system again, and again, and again....

Take a F/W update on your receiver, then look for a file for your card that says "no RSA" / most of these fixes also say SATVIA (since he created the fix).

Then modify the IRD # and BOX keys to match the new file for your card (if it does not match already)

Use the latsest satvia file .This file does not require Rsa keys to be modded to the reciever just the Ird and Boxkeys.

Just updated a 3900 read and saved tsop and eep. Then Edited in flashedit the ird # to (011c746c) and the bk's to (8ca6a88cfde2e263) made sure CRC was green saved as " Modded" opened jkey's erased tsop 3X then wote "modded" tsop to ird.then (back click) in flashedit to the EEprom flash screen and prog saved orog EEprom. Then loaded Atmega with TCFD 111 (make sure you "Check for updates"...) ...KEY"S-------Did not even need to do "Check switch" BOOM...All chan's..........(A little tutorial for this model) Just had it laying around and I had nothing better to do....hehehe...All the best....!

what did you change on the tsop flash? the epromm had the box keys and ird info. the only way I can open the tsop is in Hex editor lots of numbers and lines.
