SatVia V4 question

i understand how the locals get inserted into enabler(tiers 1,2,and3)
but at the bottom(where it says advanced settings-what are the bottom two tiers for?
also my BO string reads:B4 B4 B4 7F 7F 7F 7F 7F 7F 7F 00 7F 00 00 7F
i know where to add my locals into the BO string but here is another thing i'm wondering about.
should i leave the first(3 bytes) B4 B4 B4 or should my first 3 bytes be 7F 7F 7F?(in the BO string) cause when i add my remapped bytes towards the end of the BO string for different areas(cities).alot of them come up and say "out of designated viewing area"
are those B4 B4 B4 bytes causing this or should i leave the BO string alone and just add my remapped bytes into the (towards the end of my BO string.
ex. should i change it to 7F 7F 7F 7F 7F 7F 7F 7F 7F 7F 22 00 00 00 84.
cause it won't work(outside viewing area) when i have it as:
B4 B4 B4 7F 7F 7F 7F 7F 7F 7F 22 00 00 00 84
i have put the min-max tiers and zipcode in but this is happening to me"outside of viewing area" on alot of cities except for pittsburgh(it works) but i'm only 100 miles from pittsburgh! any ideas-thanks in advance-jmf38

[Twostep]

The newer versions of SatVia (final V2) put the locals in the 7000 range - and like you, I tried until I was blue in the face to get them in the 2-99 range. No amount of BO string editing made any difference.

The values at the bottom of the add-tier box are tier expiration dates. No need to mess with them at this time.

With SatVia V4, if I change ANYTHING in the Jeepers screen other than the timezone or keys, it's red guide and black screen, EXCEPT PPV's. Go figure.

thanks two step! you may want to write a virgin eeprom to your ird then let it update.have you tried that? just thought i would ask!
i am able to change settings on the atmega and my guide seems to be o.k.
except only locals that i can get are 1 city-pittsburgh.
i just wonder if the other locals(the ones that i have tried over and over would work with a virgin eeprom). i take it that you are running no rsa!
i am-it's working o.k. so far!
are you able to jtag your ird, and do you have the latest keys?
only reason i ask is that you should be able to make subtle changes to your card without getting that red guide.-thanks-jmf38
