Greetings all,
I'd just like to know if running you're Satvia and if you're getting the check-switch error & guide problems.
I'm running (2) 013's with tomico. Like everyone it seems, I'm getting the occasional 004 error message and problems D/L the guide. It looks like the 'pull card & uplug' routine brings things back, but it's kind of a pain. Plus if I want to try to tape something, there's the possibility it might not make it through.
I'm contemplating switching to Satvia, but there's that part that of me says "If it ain't broke completely, don't mess with it." I'm OK with jtagging & that whole bit, but do I want to take the chance and screw something up?
If Satvia really fixes things, I'll give it a shot. I'm just not getting a real clear indication from other testers if it's better or not.
I appreciate your thoughts & comments.
Thanks,
lud

Satvia no rsa working good w/3100.10. Took latest update no problem. All open...for now anyway
Look for satvia all-in-one v2 folder, has everything in it and latest pfg
I believe it is working for the .13, haven't heard otherwise, but the procedure is slightly different, you gotta bypass the SK.

Running SatVia Final V2 here - supposed to be the latest and greatest.
No problems with guide or having to reboot/reinsert card, but there are blocks of channels missing. 193-199, some 300's and about half the PPV's are out. One or two porn channels are missing.

I use a 301.013 dual/NoRSA mod. I tried every PFG I could lay my hands on and while each was a bit different, none solved the missing channels problem. From what I hear this is a fairly widespread issue, which began Wednesday afternoon when they started diddling with the keys.

That sucks Twostep. With the .10 simply replacing the old Satvia No Rsa PFg with the new satvia one on Wednesday solved the problem right away.
Alas I have no idea why it won't work on the .13...session key bypass problem? keys? I'm sure you checked all that and updated too?
Transcending my level of knowledge, though someone's gotta know the answer I would hope

Twostep, you'll need a pfg that allow's both aux and pub key's to be used. And have "Latest key's that's all. What your saying sound's like your only recieving "one" sat .110......

Twostep, if that don't work, you might also want to try this previous advice from udntcme, from a few days ago, when he was deep in the throes of .013 troubles....luckily he appears to have reached a happy resolution

Success...! Appaently I came up with the correct combination of vid-mod erase prog and unmodded tsop apply no-rsa sk bypass and created EEp SSshhheeeezzzzz...........reg 13 single.........SSSShhheeezzzzz....!!! and Flashedit beta 4 not 9...4 had only the no-rsa sk bypass in it.GGGeeeeezzzzz...! This reg 13 was the beast from hell.Maybe I made it harder than it was supposed to be.Damm FTA...! 2800 is a walk in the park compaired .

I'm assuming the SatVia Final V2 is a PFG that's capable of running both keys at once - I was running Tandq.orgV4 when the problems started. Lost 200, 205, 300's, 496, a few others...in other words, all of the channels on the newly activated Key1.

Switching to SatVia Final got all that back....but certain channels were missing, in odd places. And on top of that, this evening, I have 193-199 back in fine shape, and the missing PPV's are back too - in the guide, and RED. Just says "info not available" in the boxes. Red guide usually means expired tiers - and I'm quite certain SatVia's brand new PFG hasn't expired yet.

I'm using the PFG with all the default settings intact - Superdish 121 tierset - with the only change being the timezone. I remember this shit happening with the MagicCard a long time ago - you'd never know what channels were gonna show up from one hour to the next. Don't recall a fix, either - it just stopped.

As for the receiver, it's properly flashed with the NoRSA mod, SK bypass, all of that. For what it's worth, I can slide a 102toRom10 card in it, and not one channel is missing.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys...:)

could be that time zone change :)

Wasn't the time zone change, but I DID figure it out...;)

I use a SuperDish 121, so naturally I assumed I was supposed to program with the SuperDish 121 tierset option. I assumed wrong.

The only thing I use 121 for is my locals - so I simply programmed using the 110/119 tierset option and added one tier - my locals.

Problem solved.:)

Thanks for the input everyone.

Sounds like Satvia is probably the way to go.

Guess I'll give it a shot & see what happens.

Key's correct on "plastic" cam not on "atmega" the only other thing it could be is those tier's not on atmega. All the best...!

Good for me as well switching to satvia. No "check switch" issue in the last 30 hours since going to satvia. Using a 4900 receiver and "SatVia Dish N2 ATmega No RSA Mod V4" pfg.

Actually I pulled the atmega under the old vid mod, as I knew re-inserting it would ask me to take the update, which I did. Of couse firmware P321 for the 4900 clobbered the vid mod which of course I wanted. The rest was nice and easy too from the satvia sticky.

Time to do my two friends 2700's...
