View Full Version : upgrade software for 3900 or NO?

Everytime i turn on my receiver it ask me if i want a free software upgrade. I tried installing and then all channels were black, NO vid, no Audio so I went back and reflashed the previous saved info. Do I need to upgrade and if YES how do I get back up and running after the upgrade. IT says the ird number was still the Tocomia installed numbers after i tried the upgrade but no go?

You need to erase sector sa30 with jkey's then connect to stream...(Connect dish) don't turn on power. It will usually update to latest within 30 min's.Then read and save tsop and eep.Then open flashedit and modd the tsop with the Sativa ird # and bk's. 011C746C=ird#'s...8CA6A88CFDE2E263=bk's check box crc save as "Modded". Go back to jkey's write "modded" tsop then write saved eep. Then you can create a pfg with tcfd 111...(No rsa-modd) that's it.....

Before you write "Modded" tsop and eep back to ird "Erase full in jkey's"...sorry just thought it would be obvious.... I'm not so great at giving instruction's.

i had some sucess. it upgraded the software, and I did change over t0 the TCFDIII original keys and ird even though they have flash selections for Tocomia now. I modded the tsop, checked box and loaded my original eeprom from 02 and so for so good. I did notice that there is no MLB selection but thats ok, all my games are on Fox. Thanks for the coaching.

hey I was looking for some info on SA30 erase for 3900 and found your post. I did it and streamed without the Atmega card for about 45min, it won't power up then I streamed for another 45min with card in, still no go...what is the next? plese help.
