Hello House Of Pain, and all testers on this excelent forum:
Few days ago I find a web page offering an FTA receiver capable ( They say ) of receiving the dave latino channels carring on the galaxy 3
xxx.g3cfta.com but is riesgous to spend 325 to 395 bucks priced the equipment and find thas it is pure scam, anybody just buyed and tested this ? if so please tell all us, we are very interested to receive these channels in latinoamerica, I think this is possible, on the FTA beginings we all was very
incredulous and now we are very pleasant receiving all the DN channels !
Thanks amigos !

If one FTA receiver can do it... They all can. Those channels must be on a differnt type of encryption or none at all if FTA can pick them up.. Or it could be a scam. I dunno either way..

To All tester and to vmod32 , and shopright :
I visiting the Lyngsat site and they stated is Videoguard encryption system on the xxx.lyngsat.com/packages/directvlatin.html on the galaxy3C at 95 degree West, but itīs the same enc. system on all dave channels ? In this case all the channels will be decoded in that way ( I supose ) or ( SCAM )
I definitelly will spend riesgouse my 300 to 395 bucks to find if itīs real or a tremendus Scam with an regular FTA receiver, if not Iīll use it with DN like many others fta irdīs
thanks : electson

"If one FTA receiver can do it... They all can"
Nope, it all depends on what chip they put in the FTA to receive the packets.DTV packets are non-standard 127 bytes vs 188 bytes of the standard type. But even though you can get the packets on some ( like dreambox) you still need a cardslot and a subbed card to decode the packets.
there is a big difference between recieving and decoding.

What if we took the chip from samsung dtv and placed it in fortecstar 5900 which have the same chip and card slot!!!
