About to buy a new receiver...

Hello,

I just got my new tv and am about to purchase my receiver.

I had talked with someone one these forums who suggested that i get the DP811 receiver.

He said it was preaty easy to program and it was reliable.

I just want to make shure i got everything right

so heres what i want.

I need a receiver to be able to watch BELL EXPRESS VU, i want the ppv channels to be opened.

there is also an iso program can can be purchased with this receiver, i have a mikobu 3 card programmer, will that do the samething?

do i need to buy a special dish? or can i go to the store here where i live and just buy one?



I just want to make shure i got everything right before i take out somme 400$!!!

The 811 is cardless I believe. Cardless recievers need a pretty extensive mod to get to the point where they can be programmed. Unless you're willing to spend three fifty or four hundred fpr a pre modded 811.

if you want to make your life easy get a coolsat 5000, if you like fidling around and testing go with pretty much every other method. Yes that dish you speak of will work.
