I want to understand how to the tiers work for packages. I don't understand the letters in the tiers. Take an example of the Tiers below.
10C8 10CA 000202 News & Learning 1 Part 1
1100 1102 0001F5 News & Learning 1 Part 2
1583 8000 0001F9 News & Learning 2
14D2 151E 0001F4 News & Learning 3
1342 1384 0001C9 Variety Part 1
125C 12D9 0001CB Variety Part 2
1069 107A 0001C7 Variety 3
15FB 1604 000092 Variety 3
14BA 14C8 0001B8 Learning 1 Part 1
153B 8000 0001C1 Learning Part 2
1130 1132 0001C8 Learning Part 3
1081 1084 0001E8 Learning Part 4
In the low tier would 10C8 be the low tier? Would the high tier be 8000 ? Is 10C8 be lower than 1069? Which is higher 10CA or 107A or 1084? I have a basic understanding of tiers, but I get confused with the letters. I want to eliminate some of the channels on my AVR-X card for Bev. Any help on this subject would be apprieciated.

It's called HEX number system. It's based on 16 numbers (not your ussual decimal system that is based on 10 numbers)

HEX = 0123456789ABCDEF
A=10
B=11
..
F=16

so 10CA is larger then 107A
10C8 > 1069
hope that helps

I just started out and came across this table and it helped clarify the tiers for me, so thought I'd share.

hex binary dec
0 ---0000 ---0
1 ---0001 ---1
2 ---0010 ---2
3 ---0011 ---3
4 ---0100 ---4
5 ---0101 ---5
6 ---0110 ---6
7 ---0111 ---7
8 ---1000 ---8
9 ---1001 ---9
A ---1010 ---10
B ---1011 ---11
C ---1100 ---12
D ---1101 ---13
E ---1110 ---14
F ---1111 ---15

This is a HEX to binary to decimal translation.
HEX- -BIN - - - - DEC
F - - -1111- - - 15

If it helps you use it but I dont think its really used for Tiers.

Is this the right way to think on these set of tiers?

10C8=10128 10CA=101210
1100=1100 1102=1102
1583=1583 8000=8000
14D2=14132 151E=15114
1342=1342 1384=1384
125C=12512 12D9=12139
1069=1069 107A=10710
15FB=151611 1604=1604
153B=15311 8000=8000
1130=1130 1132=1132
1081=1081 1084=1084

Please correct my way of thinking. If i'm doing this right, I would say the low tier would be 1081. The high tier would be 10CA, but 15FB is greater. So I must be thinking wrong. Please correct my way of thinking on this. Thanks for your mathematical expertise, I'm only a surveyor!

This should help you understand better. Open in notepad and study it.
