does anyone know where i can get info on modding this vector tech loader that i have for n2 . i'v found one post in this forum about the vector tech where some body had one modded already but it was for N1 instead of N2. So My question is would that mod still work for N2 with my (rom10, 11, 102 etc.) I was serching for weeks but i found nothing on this loader at all so any HELP would be great & appriciated THANKS... heres a pichttp://server2.uploadit.org/files/GH242424-loader.jpg
try the mod and see .... most of the chips posted are similar to most loaders...especialy to mik 3
thanks for the reply & help , SO i found out that in order to unlock (rom 101,102 etc..) i need 4619 chips instead of 4053 chips right. so i was thinking is it posible to just replace the 4053 chips with 4619's. if so do http://server2.uploadit.org/files/GH242424-moddedvt.jpgreplace the two of them. and also what are the name of those chips just so when i go to look for them i can give the proper name? , but if it sounds like it will work i'll give it a shot .. I am using the 4053 on my mik 3 and it werks fine ....if for some reason yours doesn't then I guess replace the chips although I wouldn't recommend it ......(I think 4619 is for rom 103).......remmember it takes some getting use to your loader....voltage, settings,etc. so if it doesn't werk right away try messing with it a while before you give up and start to mod it more.......
thanks for the help Zim I guiss it wouldn't hurt to try the 4053's first, so thats what i'm going to do. i'm just a newbie at this stuff and trying to learn as much as i can . & just have one more question about the mod on my vec-tech what would u recomend for a trim pot size (5k, 10k etc.) ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRICIATED & THANKS AGAIN....
a 25 ohm is what most use but for some reason mine pop at @ 80 ohms so just get a 100 ohm variable or what I did was get the 25 and add a 10 and 50 ohm in series to get a 0 to 85 ohm variable.........and I read the rev 106 and up require the 4619's or you will loop your cam.........
thanks for the reply zim ,so i guiss i should change the 4053's over to 4619's to be safe . I have soldering skills and don't mind the work at all. so again all i should change is the 2 chips & nothing else is that correct? I orderd a bunch of 4619's which are on the way as we speek,of different varieties just to be safe. plus extra max 232's & others. got them all for nothing so it's worth a shot. 4619 chips are required to glitch into Dish 102's at rev 106/7 and Bev 102 at 243?I think.
I was going to replace mine too but am being told instead of 2 4619 in replacement of 2 4053's..I should only use 1.....read the other thread called 4053 to 4619.....although this is for my mik 3 I think it may still give you some info on modifying yours......and yes anything above rev. 105 I believe will require 4619
ya i noticed that thread just after i replied last in this thread . that sounds good, and i can't see why it wouldn't work. so after reading that thread that's what i'm going to try. but there's one thing that i quite don't understand what does it mean TO REMOVE BOTH CHIPS AND REPLACE THE ONE WITH ONLY TWO OUT OF THREE PINS WIRED TOGETHER (4,14,15)? LIKE WHITCH CHIP WOULD THAT BE ?also i picked up everything that i needed for the mod today except the chips because there in the mail. and the only thing about the trimmer pots that i got today is that i COULD NOT get a 100 ohm pot because they were all out, so all i got were a 5K pot & a 300 ohm trim pot, because there hard to find in my area. SO WHAT ONE SHOULD I USE FOR MY MOD? thanks again for the help....
well a trim pot is limited to amperage...they burn pretty easy ........a reohstat is the way to go ....(don't think) you'll find a 100 ohm so I sugg. use a 25 ohm and install resistors in series to make a 0-85 variable.... as far as what slot to put the 4619..I am as lost as you and those pins 4,14,15... don't know...... hopefully someone may shed some light on this......
got another question ! i modded my vec tech with the 4053's for now, just untill i recieve my 4619's & i was wondering if i had to lift pin 10 on the max 232 for when i install the switch for flashing? or do i just leave pin 10 conected to the board and install switch ? any help would be great THANKS...
lift to break the connection.....the switch makes and breaks the conn......on for flashing off for unlocking........
OK i understand, THANKS FOR THE HELP.. thats what i did when i hooked up the switch i left the pin conected to the board . i was just making sure ,. oh and one other thing did u figure out what it meant to REMOVE BOTH CHIPS AND REPLACE THE ONE WITH ONLY TWO OUT OF THREE PINS WIRED TOGETHER (4,14,15) ? i'm still trying to figure it out because i noticed that both of my 4053's have pin (4,14, 15) conected togeather on the board the same way. the traces is what i mean.
