I am using a 510 that i purchased from Mili, that had the vid mod done to it, so now it is a 508. i programmed my card just fine. i saved both flashes, just in case something went wrong. i tried programming my new flash i had made with flashedit. i finally figured out i needed to erase flash 2 ( u7 ). then jkeys would let me program the new flash back to the receiver. After doing this then rechecking with jkeys it had the new ird and boxkeys that romcode software gave me to use. the instructions did not say anything about erasing the flash, just reprogram it, but i could not get it to reprogram until i erased flash 2 first and then reprogrammed. With that done, i still got card invalid with receiver, so back to flash edit, this time instead of just selecting 501/508/5100, i selected 501/508/5100 with IRD info moved. this time the card did not say invalid. it went thru acquiring sat. signal, then error about hard drive not being functional. i hit ok and have now waited a little over one hour and still get error 005, your card does not have authorization to view this channel. The instructions said 5 to 10 minutes. I will let it run till morning and see what happens. If nothing then maybe i need to try in flashedit, 501/508/5100 moved boot strap. Any ideas from anyone would be helpful. Thanks.

005 error is a card problem, nothing to do with receiver.
The hard drive needs to be remarried before it will work with new receiver number and boxkeys....

Skinerd, thanks for the info. I have never remarried a hard drive to a receiver before. Can you point me in the right direction to do this? Also, if i get the card error 005 fixed, will the receiver work even if don't remarry the hard drive? i will try reprogramming the card. If i had a number wrong, i would get an error about card not valid. Is this correct. Was i correct in erasing flash 2, then reprogramming with my new flash that i made in flashedit? Also, i know we are talking about the 510 receiver, but i am getting ready to try a 301.010 receiver. Since it has 2 flashes, do i erase flash 2, then reprogram with the new flash that i will make in flashedit. I know i am close to getting a picture, i just need to get over this last hump. Oh, i don't remember if i said in my original e-mail, but on the PPV channels i am getting purchased, same on PPV special events. Thanks in advance for all the help.

you will also get the 005 error if the ird box keys are not the same on the card and receiver. also if the keys are not correct.

I finally got past the hard drive error. I erased flash 2 and reprogrammed it with one i got off of mili's site that had p080. also this time i made a virgin eeprom and flashed the eeprom. i powered off then on again. the power light came on and stayed on. this is without sat. feed being hooked up. I let it stayed powered up for 20 to 30 minutes, then erased flash 2 again, and reflashed with the one i had originally made with flashedit and this time i also reflashed eeprom with the one i made from the p304 software. I hooked up receiver to sat. feed. it acquired sat. signal, downloaded guide, no hard drive error. I then reprogrammed the rom 102 again, after cleaning it 3 times in romcode software. But i still get error 005, no authorization to view this channel. I triple checked IRD # AND boxkeys. I have no way that i know of to check if IDEA keys are correct or if they are suppose to update from stream. Bottom line, no tv yet. Any help would be appreciated. Oh when i ran live update like the instructions said, you only had a handful of local channels to pick from, instead of like the Feb. 14th update, when you had all of them to choose from. Was this an oversight on romcodes part? When i tried to download the romcode program and use it without doing live update so i could add some locals, it would not program my card. It said cam ID was expired or not registered, so i used the one i had updated to program my card. Now after 45 minutes still no picture.

the cam you have registered is in your account with your user name.
are you highlighting your user name in that one window that pops up when you click cam set up.

Knight:

Copy and paste from the backup file to get a complete local list. Be sure to rename the one in the main program file first is you want to save it for any reason.
