Rom10 to 102 question

Hey guys,

I have been out of game since N1 went down. I'm glad to see
things are happening again.

I have done a good bit of reading and want to make sure I'm on the right
track before I begin.

I have Rom10 and 2700 receiver with modded tsop with switch.
and has not been on since N1 went down so I'm sure receiver software
needs update.


If i'm correct I can use Rom10.Rom11.RSA.WideOpen.04.05.2006.zip
to program rom10 just edit boxkey's & Ird# with updated keys and it
should work.

My question is about TSOP will it work with the mod I have now or do I
have to change something in Tsop. I have read something about
RSA Mod.

I dont mind doing the reading or work and use to know a good bit so I'm not
a total newb. If someone would please just a short answer with the steps
of what would work best and I will read to find out how to do it.

If that image requires an RSA you'll have to modify your TSOP or download a modified TSOP.

You'd be better off to download a card image that doesn't require a RSA modded TSOP, then you wouldn't have to worry about future updates knocking out your IRD.

Thanks thats what I was just reading trying to figure out which was best
with RSA mod or not. That saves me some time. I guess the no mod files
wide open also correct. Which do you recommend.

What do you use to open that file. When I download it the file type is "File". Tried opening in notepad to edit and also nagraedit.

Got it fixed. Re-downloaded and the file works.

I seem to be stuck in the same stage as keylargo. Actualy i am confused about modded vs. non modded tsop. If I chane Ird# and box keys to reflect those required by "rom10 to 102 no tsop mod 18 tiers", does that not make it 'modded'? or by modded do we refer to some other modded .bn file that I have to download?

Anyways I tried using "rom10 to 102 no tsop mod 18 tiers". I modifying box keys and ird# using flasedit and jkeys. Then I cleaned my card using one step clean and full clean, opened "rom 10 with no rsa mod rom 102 tsop.bn10", and entered the box and ird numbers in 'data' editor' tab of Nagra. I also put in latest public keys. Then I programmed this image. I get a black screen on all but ch101.

What am I doing wrong or missing here?

1) You NEED a blocker; Penga's works swell.

2) The keys changed a few days ago. Search for "keychanger" or similar, acquire the new keys (Keyripper is recommended) and plug them in to the keychanger.ep10 that you'll the use to patch your image.

Unlock card
one step clean
open image (no RSA mod yada yada place name here)
patch with blocker (making sure you've changed the password)
patch with keychanger
save image
write to card

To maintain your image, when a channels begin to go black repeat number 2) above.

Do not change anything in data editor.. Update keys ( and password if you like but DO NOT FORGET IT) in eeprom and write to card thats it. The code space has been rewriten and not located in the same locations as data editor will enter it. That is how cards get screwed up.
P.S. You do not need a blocker...it is alraedy on the rom10 bin that you are going to write ...C1

This is for public nomod for dish, I assume

Using flashEdit: take your original unmodded dish tsop flashes change
IRD num to = 01 1C 74 6C
Boxkeys to = 8C A6 A8 8C FD E2 E2 63
May as well create a virgin eeprom as well
Save them and Flash to your ird.
You can let it update before or after you write them to ird, makes no difference

I recomend having a proven blocker handy, edited with your information to patch to any public image you'll use.

Anyone can write an image and say it has a blocker, but I'd rather be overcautious then be locked out of my card.
