i just got my second receiver done successfully. [ a big accomplishment for me ! ] there is one question i can't seem to find an answer for , if it happens to come up. if there is an upgrade offered , do we accept it or still cancel it ??? or , does it matter ? i read the site , but could not find an answer. otherwise so far so good .

i am using an ex sub married reciever, and i let it update and all is fine, but if u are using a card, ird combo that wasnt married, i wouldnt let it update

The stream updates don't over write the IRD# or Boxkeys. If your using romcode with the private bin, or any no-rsa type tsop, you don't have to worry about the updates. AVRX will stop working with some or most updates, but can be fixed with updated avrx software.

Real TSOP mods are more than just changing the box keys and ird#, and the modified portion gets over written with the stream update. If all you have changed on your tsop is the ird# or box keys or as in the case of studmonkey76, have changed nothing at all because you have a married card, then let the updates roll baby.
