rom10to102 wont lock

lost all channels today on rom10to102 fix .I wrote new keys. After writing ,when I go to READ,Im able to read ,without getting the usual message to say that I'm locked out. Can anyone say which is the way to fix this problem. When I insert cam into rec.[2800[ I eventually get the message" need new card"???-- all red channels-- any advice --thanks bjay

Sounds like you wrote the new keys to the bin after you read the card, then just wrote the bin back to the card. When you opened the card, you removed the lock so the bin you wrote back to the card is "open". Right now I can`t remember the lock byte or you could just change it. Anyway, I would change the keys on the original bin that you downloaded which should be locked, then rewrite to the card.

heres the command to relock card only:

click on patch and type or paste this in there then apply patch then write it
;To reset the lock byte to relock card:
$C0A11 1C

a better way to update keys and relock card is to use the following patch:

;if using ver 8b, use the tools>lock and your password to unlock.
;read the card, then open this patch.
;test patch, apply patch. Write to card.
;To change the keys to current, edit them after the D863=
;or the $873= at the end.
;To reset the lock byte to relock card:

save this as a 2key-re-lock patch.ep10 again open patch and run this then write to card, then test to see if it locks and ofcourse it will then go watch Tv...
save this patch in NE4.1 folder for future use then when keys change you just openn this and paste over old ones and then save patch
