Panset 2700a Setup!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is an Excellent Post From SNiC!
Loading Your Panset 2700
1). Turn your 2700 "OFF" via rear switch.
2). Connect the RS232C null modem cable to the receiver and Com1 port of your computer. (Use Com2 if not Com1 is not available). Note: 2500 used a straight serial cable for downloads, THIS SERIAL CABLE WILL NOT WORK!!!. You must use a Null Modem serial cable, or a straight serial cable with a "null" adapter.
Click HERE for more Null Modem Cable info
3). Plug in the receiver, Turn your 2700 "ON" via the rear switch, and see that the “On” is indicated on the LED on the receiver.
4). Run the Downloader (GTRom Loader v3[1].35 [pansat2700A].exe) from the new created folder.
5. Click the App File only button, browser and select the “latest update” file, example
X-87BL_060318_146_api .zip then click the Open button.
Note: It is highly recommended that you use sw/bin 140. or a later release which has the "Autoroll"* feature....
(*AUTOROLL means the program automatically locates and sets the keys)
6. Double check and make sure the cable is securely connected.
7. Click the Download button, wait until the “Download Completed!!” is displayed. Watch the LED on the receiver, it should reboot itself, wait until the “On” display.
8). Wait for unit to finish flash, DO NOT INTERUPT!
9). When receiver reboots and displays “On” wait a few more secs until you see the "Download Complete" popup on your pc. Many people unplug too soon!
You are now done with the software update.
10). To load a channel list on your 2700, start & run the application Ch Editor187 (Pansat 2700A)
11). When Pansat Channel Editor 2700a appears, click file, open, select the channel list working5-legacy-2700
12). At the top of the screen click where it says “Tools” and goto “Connect to receiver’ Then click “Download”
13). Wait till finished and unit will reboot to channel 0001. Your Pansat 2700 is now flashed and a Legacy Dishnet channel list has been loaded.
14). Wait for unit to finish flash, DO NOT INTERUPT!
15). Turn your 2700 "OFF" via rear switch.
16). Unplug and disconnect receiver from PC
Connecting the receiver to the TV.
17). Connect all the RCA cable from the TV to the receiver, connect the R6 Cable from the dish or switch to the IF input of the receiver. Plug in the power cord from the receiver to an AC outlet.
18). You should see the Language Menu on the TV screen, select English.
Satellite Setup
Note : The following steps 19...26 assumes you are using Dish 500 and Legacy Dual LNBs.
I connected my Dish 500 Legacy Dual LNB 119 cable to the LNB1 of the DISEqC, then I connected my LNB 110 cable to the LNB2 of the DISEqC switch.
19). Goto the Installation Option, enter “0000” for p*********word
20). Goto the Antenna setup Option,
21). Select satellite you want (birds Echo8.6/Ku at 110W and Echo7/Ku at 119W are the Dishnet birds), press the OK button. DO NOT select more then one satellite if you only have one dish with one single lnb
22). LNB Type: select “Standard”
23). LNB Local-Freq: enter “11250”
24). 22kHz: OFF
25). See above note: DiSeqC: 0, if you have two lnbs on the dish or two dish then change it to the correct lnb #1, #2, so on...
26). Skew: 45
27). TP: leave it as is
28). Check the Level= highest as you can, and Quality= highest as you can (adjust the dish slightly to improve the signal strength)
29). If you get no quality level on these transponders, try others before giving up. Not all transponders are transmitting all the time. MAKE SURE THE CABLE IS PLUGGED INTO THE "IF INPUT" PORT ON THE BACK OF THE RECEIVER! Plug the other end directly into the LNB on your Dish.
30). Readjust your dish if you still not getting any quality signal
31). Press the Exit button, press OK to save setting
CURRENTLY,ALL SW/BINS NEED TO SET DEFAULT KEYS.
31.A.Go to Main Menu (Bins 132 and later, select channel 8282, proceed to step "E")
B.Go to Parental Control
C.Go to Second Pin entry line
D4.Enter 0000 (if 0000 does not work, enter 1668)
E.At "CAS SYSTEM" menu.
F.Scroll down to Set default key button and press it
G.Exit out
Note: Step 32 & 33 are not required if you loaded a Channel List in steps 10 through 16 and not required if you choose to scan you own EchoStar Package!!
Scanning for Channels
32). Go back to the Installation Menu
33). Go to Satellite Scan, press OK, select the satellite to scan using the left or right vol button(it should turn RED). Press OK to start the scanning.
34). After you have completed the setup and tune to a channel...PLEASE NOTE: the latest sw/bins with Autoroll featrure may take up to a minute to locate and set the keys for each Sat provider. Progress will show on screen (sometime the "progress screen" does not reach 100%, don't be concerened, the keys ARE FULLY LOADED.)
After that.....WATCH TV
If necessary, you can now go back to your channel list Channel edit (on menu) and delete all of the channels that are duplicate, and bad or scramble error. they are "Ghost Channels".
ENJOY!!

NOW ON TO MY QUESTIONss.....
Hi folks,
I also bought a PanSat 3500SD recently. I have it all set, up and running on 61.5w only. I initially had to manually enter the keys on NagraVision 2.
In my system, I have EMU ON, dont quite know what that means.
It did not autroll the keys couple days ago. Can someone tell me how do I turn this autoroll feature ON this 3500SD unit. I have 3500SD Autoroll bin, I believe it is 145 installed on it.
When I set the default keys on, It actually changes my current keys to something else and I loose picture and then I have to go into NagraVision2 and re-enter the current Dish Keys myself.
Can someone help me set this up to keep the autoroll feature on?
Thanks in advance.

emu means to emulate a legit sub
autoroll is part of the current file you are runing some files have autoroll and some don't best to run without and set manual its just a gateway to shut down the ird with false numbers.

Hi all:
I have a prblem settings the LNBS right. I have a quad lnb on one dish and another dish facing 61.5
to make things easy, I connected all to sw21 and used my !!!!!!! receiver to install them. I got more than 100% on all sats. However, when I connect my 3500 I get all channels except those on 110 even though I get over 85% quality on those channels still they will not come. I have all dishs as follow one line from 119 side on quad going to disq 1, one line from 110 side going to disq 2, 61.5 going to disq 3. When I first got the 3500 , i did actually receive the 110 channels with some headace when switching between 119 & 110 scrolling channels up and down until I get the picture. I also, updated to bin 351 which give me the lagacy switch option, I tried with quad option, twin lnb,..... no luck. I mainly trying to get 110 for PPV. Can someone please advice what's the best setup that will work for me. Thanks
