Problem reading 3M! [Archive]

I purchased by RomCode blocker with Premium DISH Support this evening and finally got some cards to unlock. Yep, I know-- doesn't have anything to do with RomCode. But I wanted it clear that I have cleared that hurdle. :)

Signed up and got my Rom Code program, registered a CAM on it, and when I go to program the CAM it gives me the message "Problem reading 3M!" down at the bottom of the program box.

What can this be? I don't even know where to begin....

Try cleaning card first then apply 3m...if that doesnt work heres what i had to do when i had that same problem. after i unlocked the card, i used n2edit to read and save the bin. i had to rewrite the bin back to my card by using n2edit and then use romcode and that seemed to work.

I am beginning to lose patience with my system. I hope it is not my system causing these problems...!

I am still not able to get a card programmed. After I unlock the cards again (after failure), when I run the RomCode program, it tells me the cards are dealer or stream locked-- immediately after I unlock it!

Am I cursed? Could this be the end?

I've read you have to do the card prep steps with every new version of the software.

I got the new software, put in my username and password, and the cards showed up. Is there something more that needs to be done. Same result, if not.

By the way, the Cam Signature never shows up.

Yes, both show up in the card management screen.

The CAM Signatures showed up the first time. After I registered them was the point at which they started not showing up on the main screen. When I go to program the cards is when the signatures don't show up (and that's the only piece of information missing).

Rob or Mili, Mods have u found out anything about this problem, because the exact thing happend 2 me, 2 days ago. just something to add that may have caused this when I got the card from mili it was open but it had a unknown provider it looked like it was programming then it says problem reading the 3m.... funny it was there 3 m so I new that it didnt complete because I had the first pop up with disclaimer to use there private bin.... yes I did check mark it I followed it to the letter.... never did get the secong pop up with the ird and box keys thats the point were it said problem reading 3m . I did this late at night so I thought ok I will try again in the morning and low and behold I put the card in iso fire up the romcode proggie and the lock is red and there is no Cam sig there try to clean card says dealer or stream lock ....Impossible since the card was open when I bought it and it was never in the stream but if I go to manage actts my Cam sig is registerd but it will not show up in the main proggie ...Any1 got any ideas since I will need to be able to use that code soon since the avr-x is dropping channels.........Tks

Hi, I just want to add to this thread because I'm having similar problems with one of my cards that was programmed with RomCode blocker.
I followed the instructions just as stated and programmed the first card (after registering of course) the program indeed stated at the end that the card was programmed succesfully. I got the BK's and Ird # and went on modifying the TSOP after I was done the only thing that I got on the screen was that my receiver wasn't "authorized yet", so when I wanted to reprogram the card it kept locked and gave me the same message as some of you also got " dealer or stream locked". I'm very sure the card was unlocked before programming it, it also gave me the card signiture with which I registered the cam on RomCode site. I tried unlocking it back with unlocker which it also says "Glitch success!! A0FF- INTERCEPT IS ON", but when I try to read it in N2edit 7, it fails to read card, so still locked.
Hope someone can shine some light on this.

In the future Bowie plz dont hijack someones thread your prob is a different situation so u need to start your own thread 4 help thankyou . Now u say the ird was not authorized yet,#1... How long did u leave it in 2 allow the keys 2 roll?#2 then u say you went to prog the card but its lock..... Why would u use your glitcher ...Did u try to clean the card and allow Romcode to unlock the card since its there 3m and blocker #3 are u trying to read your card with the loader or an iso, did u try N2edit 9 or nagramaster

My apologese, it was not my intension to hijack this thread. To clear uot any confusions, when I program my cards it's always with an iso, and that not authorized message I got several times retrying the card in the receiver so I would be sure its the card not the rec.
I only used the loader to try and unlock the card after I thought it was bad/poorly programmed.Romcode however does see the default lockcode but it can't unlock the card now, that's the problem now.

OK, here's what I got. After using the BugResetter I tried to use the 101_102_Softloop_glitcher, that's where I got stuck. I'm getting an error message (Sc.Read: Timeout Reading Data From Card - 2 Bytes Requested, 0 Bytes Read, Continuing Script

Script Error on Line 116
Sc.GetByte: Requested Byte Exceeds Last Read Request).
So up till now no success in unlocking the card.

The beauty of testing is not giving up and that's just what got me my card back. After trying different proggys Nagra Master - ROM 102 Utility's unlocker did the job. After running the program for almost 15 min. it gave me the Rom 102 now open and I couldn't believe my eyes when I cleaned the card with iso and same Nagra Master and now RomCode also showed me the card is unlocked.
It's almost 2:30am here so time to hit the sacks.

Write the original BIN that you have saved for this card. Do a Live Update
and try again.
This error is caused by an unknown provider card.
Alternatively the attached will (may?) unlock cards that have the "Unknown Provider" problem. So far, I've unlocked 2 of those and 1 that had some different problem. For that one I had to use the BugResetter program first, which fixed one problem, then the softloop glitcher was able to unlock it. Rename the 101_102_Softloop_Glitcher.txt file to 101_102_Softloop_Glitcher.zip after you get the
attachement.

Not really sure option 1 will work since the image I saved has the unknown provider I wil try option 2 but I dont have faith in that either since anytime I try to use the mikN2 I cannot get an atr even though I have atr using iso I wil post back with results

well tried the mik again no atr think the loader is toast never worked from day 1 but my iso shows an atr so the ? is im having problems writing the saved image back 2 the card it says error using nagedit9 will this always happen because the card is locked or is there a way to write the image
