PPV asking to purchase

If any of you RomCode users are getting a pop-up on the pay per view channels that is asking you to purchase the PPV, then here is your answer.

The Romcode software has been update. Just open romcode.exe, pick Live Update. After that completes, reprogram your card and your troubles will be gone.

when was it updated? i tried updating today and says no update available. im not having this ppv problem though..

According to what I'm reading, romcode needs to update their ppv tier.

will depend on when you donloaded the first set of tiers when yours expire
if you click live update and it see you being ok then you will get no update.

I'm getting this problem. I just ordered yesterday and set everything up today on a 510. Everything else is great except the PPV asking to purchase. Does anyone know how to fix?

I tried the update and it said there was none available. Looked in the tier editor and I don't see anything for a PPV string. Any ideas?

go to satjunction dot com and post the question in the romcode forums there. The romcode coders hang out there and should be able to answer any question. I'm sorry, but I don't know what to tell you about this problem. If you have updated, then it must be something else.
give satjunction a try and let us know how it works out.

The people at Satjunction said to update the program and reprog the card. Then they said try setting your IRD to upgrade without permission, which I always have it set to. My IRD is a 508 (510 with HD downsized) @ P309. I think that is current? I tried two different revs (103 & 106) sith no luck. I've replied at Satjunction and I thought I would post here to see if somebody has any ideas.

the satjunction folks are kinda slow to respond, but hang in there with them.
As far as PPVs, Mine are working with the same IRD and firmware rev as you.
Sorry, but I'm not going to be any help for ya. Just don't know wha to suggest other than satjunction.

did you change the info to 7fffffc0, the ird info that needs to be done for the 510 or 508 to work?

Do you mean the IRD and BK's #'s. They are at 003FFFC0. 003FFF40 are all FF'd out. I'm not sure what 7FFFFFC0 is.

I am having a problem when I go to the 2nd screen in sysinfo, the screen goes fuzzy and then reboots. I tried to load a different tsop with the same results.

Here are the steps I used so far:
1. Read TSOP from current 510 that was using NoRSA atmega.
2. Changed IRD & BK to romcode private and fixed CRC. Saved TSOP.
3. Made virgin eeprom from saved TSOP.
4. Used a p080 TSOP to marry drive to romcode settings. I tried the FF at A1 in the eeprom but I kept getting the HD nag error.
5. Cleaned 510 Flashes 3x each.
6. Loaded the modded TSOP to flash 2. Loaded the virgin Eeprom.
7. Programmed card with romcode. Checked private bin.
8. Put in IRD and booted. Everything works except this PPV nag.

I noticed the p080 that I use shows info in flashedit as Moved IRD info while the modded P309 that I use shows Moved bootstrap. Could this be the problem?

Its possible that ay be your problem. But try this. Go to the folder where your romcode software is. Open up romcode. i don't mean run the program, just open it up so you can see all the files in it. Then double click "autoppv.txt". it will open up and show you what ppv ranges you are currently running. Special events will show 90000 to 99990. the other one is you ppv channels including porn. right now i have mine set at 25000 to 43000. romcode runs a tighter range. but i have had no problems. You can go in there and edit the range. remember to change the hex range as well as the decimal range. In case you don't know you get the range from the info screens of the channels you want to bring in. Look at channel 502, then channel 538. write down these 2 ranges. Now if you want porn, check channels 492 and 497. now the porn channels don't always go in order. then i just go a few couple hundred below the porn and 15000 or so above channel 538. i have had no problems since doing this with romcode. Oh, when you open up "autoppv.txt' file, it says not to edit these ranges. But like i said, i have no problem. of course i guess they could hit my receiver, but then i would just j-tag and run a little tighter range. but if you are out of range it should be asking you to purchase. so being out of range may not be your problem. I am planning on using Romcode on a 301.13 ex sub also. Do i need to change my R# and Boxkeys in my receiver?
My problem is I have not been able to JTAg my 301.13 single tsop. I have tried everything but a buffered jtag. I have jtaged several 2800 without a single program, I just can't jtag the 301.13.

If so I do not get any info in Jkeys and cannot select anything.
My receiver works, I just wanted to make sure that I didn't need to JTAG it as i am unable to read the BK. I am sending mu 102 out to get it unlocked and going top order an ISO from Mili. Just wanted to make sure I can use the recever with RC without Jtagging as it will be a waste of money if I do.

if it is married then yes you should be ok.

The jtag not working is a connection or lpt port communication problem

Sorry I haven't replied as I was away the last few days. You were bang on Knight4ever. The PPV range was off. As soon as I fixed it in the autoPPV.txt file, everything was good. Thanks alot. I do have another problem though. My 510 ird works fine the 1st time I turn it on, but when I turn it off at night, the next morning it wont turn back on. Even recycling the power doesn't work. I will post in the IRD forum. Thanks to all that replied.
