I am trying to read my IRD w/ jkeys and all i get is Oxfffffffff. I checked connections and no luck. I have been out of the game for a while over a year and the IRD was not streamed since, does this make a differnce? Does it need to be streamed?
Also, I have 100 ohm 1/2 watt resistors, is this right? Thanks in advance.

0xfffffff means jkeys dont see your receiver.. Unplug your jtag and will will get the same response..
I would write a newer current tsop to it.. Mine would just not update for some reason, so thats what I did to get it working..
What receiver and what is the resister for???

check the ground also for that errer

u need 100 ohm 1/4 vwatt----------------- 1/2 just dont work for me
1/2 watt resistors work great so long as your connect poins are correct and reciever is plugged in and everything else is set up right. Triple check your connect points and I bet you get it going.

Wattage is not a factor, 1/8w to 1/2w are fine, 1 watt would work too, but they are big enough to be cumbersome....I personally use 1/4w 150 or 180 ohm, works fine.
0xffffffff = bad connection somewhere.

I think all the connections are right? Trying 2700 & 4700 for dish. i jtagged before but with different comp. Would that make a difference? If so why?
Thanks for all the responses.

one of your wires or your ground is not working.
or your lpt port is off in device manager or bios.

TMS : 2
TCK : 3
TDI : 4
TDO: 13
TRST:5
GROUND
Is this still the connections? Thanks

Also LPT enabled at ECP. Is this right?
Thanks
Frank
yes.
diferent pc's I think say diferent things.
Mine says ecp
the other one says bidirectional.
where are you grounding it?
Are you 100% sure it is connected right and none of the wires are borke or loose?

Yeah, I even bought all new ohms wires and 25 pin. I jtagged many times b4 but used a different comp that ran Win 98. I am trying to get my hands on it to see if the comp is the problem. Could it be?
Once I get it I will let you know.
Thanks'
