black screen on viewsat

i have tried to reboot and put it on home channel but that is not working should i do a factory default? i have a viewsat 2000 extreme if that will help a little more was working great up till about 2 hours ago i checked the keys andd they are correct anyone know what else i can try? thanks

I found this as a reply to a black screen..

ok just figured it out how to fix the problem so i figured i would put in what i did to correct problem i just loaded the default factory software back in to the stb and walla tv no more black screen so if you may please make this a sticky for other's for i couldn't find it under the search option on the forum so if others have this problem they will know how to

i don't know which version but mine is not working, when i got to channel list it says (?pause) behind it my signal strenght is still good and same with quality have had hone channel on now for about 30 min and still nothing

I am starting to notice people hitting the forum now with needing keys for the avr and fta...

Are you positive your box rolled the keys???

i have to a channel search now but on the bottom where the total and prossing box is it says locked should it be saying that also my quality bar keeps going down to 0

Turn on autoroll.

Then wait, then when it rolls, turn autoroll off..
