The Easy thing to do is to put the card in loader & read card info to see if its married to his reciver & if he cloned his card to yours with out first unmarring his it Will be married to his reciver
CoolwindQUOTE=evil_smogg]Just purchased new RCA 420 with virgin HU card. card was inserted in receiver upon setup. Friend then took card and made a copy of his
test card to mine."Cloned?" Anyway when I put card in my receiver
I get "you have inserted wrong card" message. I was told my IRD was locked on my original CAM and to reboot. I have seen several descriptions to reboot this model which range from unplugging overnight
to pressing power & arrow and plugging and unplugging several times at intervals ,I think holding your breath and closing your eyes was in there too.. Anyway I tried all and still same error message. I am most certain I at least successfully reset the unit. When I ran the more extensive system test it shows a different cam id then the original on back of card so I know that was changed but I have know way of knowing about ZKT, would that have been changed also?
When I run the test it also shows a Verify/ID in menu - when I run test without card in verify/ID is different then when I run with card in, Is that the ZKT?I Took the card to my friends, It works flawlessly.
Is the card just married to his IRD because cloned even though he did not insert into his receiver after programming?
Or is the problem within my IRD?What to do?[/QUOTE]
