Problems with Dish Pansat 3500s & sd

I have 2 boxes Pansat 3500 s and one 3500 sd with Dish Network, and both were down yesterday when we came back from work. The latest update we have is 145 and 145T (for the SD) that I intall with the SD Memory card on each box. Please advise what to do!!! My kids started vacation and are driving me craaaaaaaaaazy!!!:(
I have had them for 5-6 months (newbie) so please use "kinder" lingo rather than expert terms ;) . Thanks in advance for your help!!
