Did another 420re today!!!!

I bought another 420re and did the No-zkt mod on it tonight. This one is for my parents. the only problem i had was it wouldnt erase the flash when i got to that step. The ird was write protected and i had a jumper from BKR to GND. It kept giving me erase errors. So i finaly soldered a jumper from FP to +5v and somehow it let me erase and then reflash. The trace wasnt cut so i dont know if it was a co-winky dink or what. I didnt do the write protect on this one since i didnt know if Davey is still updating the irds. My 420 hasnt tried to update in a good while plus i havent gotten any ird emails forever, whats the deal with that?

congrats on doing the mod however you didnt even take the time out to read exactly what the mod does and stands for. the whole idea is to NOT get an update from dave. this is why you jumper that wire from FP to ground after you flash to "write protect" the flash from dave so that he doesn't update it

BUT has he even updated recently. I dont remeber gettting any update messagge in a long long time. So i wonder if he is done with that on the P3s?
