ive been testing fta equipment for about 6 months now and i believe that it has about had it. i agree with several other posts that plastic may be the best way to go.
what i want to know is what would be the best thing to buy? ive been looking at the recievers for sale by mili...the 311 with open rom 102.
is this working better than the avr-x?
just confused on the best way to go and what else i need besides the ird for sale on mili's store.

I'm not sure why people want to purchess new receivers when they can be found all over the place and much cheeper, same goes for the dishes - there left everywhere . The only testing equip. you may need to buy new is the programers, j-tag,& loaders. but even those can be gotten at good prices if a person looks around . This site may not support an "items for sale" area but they can be found else where, This site seems" to me" to be geared more toward info & tech issues and in that area ranks at the top amoung all the sites. We do help others , sometimes it takes a while. For one just starting with dish the easy receivers are the 27,28,3900s , the 301 and/or 311 are more envolved, but the 311 w/acc. for $189 isn't too bad.
P.S. when i say area i mean/ment forum

Not sure but......... One is an info site. For help in questions on testing methods. Other is store for buying testing products. I beleive it is manned 24/7. Dont think mili's gonna miss many sales.

I am posting here cuzz it seems I have to start all over. Just got out dated with a rom 10 and the avr-x. The avr-x what fun week of tv that was.
Smokey if youve done fta then you you should be adept enough to go for a box with a little bit of features. the 2700 are piece of cake it is tru but a dog if you start comparing it with even the mid grade recievers based on speed and guide and what not.

no offense intended and I kinda really mean that.

There are more than a few threads telling you what you need.
there is also a few threads pointing to the http://www.bellexpress.vu/ page that also has great info on what you need
I understand that you are used t the fta's I take it that way anyway and if your planning on continuing you will have to read more than the answers to your thread to have any Lent to your courageous move into the world of free tv.
There are alot of post of people asking what do I need to get started and sometimes someone will answer right away with an exact answer, must not have been your turn.

for any fun at all you will need a
iso programmer
jtag
ird (jtaggable reciever)
open?unlocked rom 102 cam
possibly(recommended) modded loader to glitch into card.
there is info on how you can program a rom 102 with a modded loader.
after you find more info then you can come back and ask morew specific questions but this one os way to vaugue to even attempt to answer in one post.
