View Full Version : 301.10 No Signal

Hi all, I have a dp301.010 that wont acquire a signal. I have tried several diffenerent things already.
1. had on a sw21 replaced that with new no dice

2. hooked up a dp twin in its place recognized as twin but xx's in polarity column

3. brought to a known working setup would not work at all. Again this is a sw21 switch setup. I have put it in place of a working receiver. Still no go

4.took apart and resoldered in sat cable feed silver box in receiver.
No good

5. I read of a corrupt flash doing this, even though this has been working up until a week ago it started getting signal problems, (thought it was just trees interfering.) So I reflashed receiver. No good.

6. I did a check at tp58 and have .73 volts so it should be that the chip is not had a cold solder joint or it would read 2.2 volts right ?

Anybody see anything I missed ??????? Help !!!!!

Sounds like something w/the Ird, dunno what

but ....longshot...did you try a known working IRD on YOUR sw21 setup? Just to absolutely rule out a problem on the roof?

only reason I say that is cuz I had similar problem, 310.10, sw21, no signal
replaced sw21, still didn't work
recrimped cable on roof, worked....

like I said, longshot

Yes I did , the known working IRD works perfect on it( watching WWE right now on it.) Thanks for your input though !

Anyone else Got any ideas ??????

You need to reflash your IRD Eprom. I had the same problem.

Do you have a copy of your flash to reflash it with?

Ok here is an update,
1. I reinstalled factory tsop flash--No good still no signal

2. I checked that coax line voltage that fubr was talking about I have 13.xx volts on one trasponder set and 19.xx on the other.

Still no signal though lets keep this going, We have generated some wonderful Ideas so far !!

the build confurations match? from the factory image you flashed to the flash on the receiver? I have mixmatched build configs before and then several months later it quit getting signal. worked for quite some time. make sure build configs are matched.

yes i just checked they match the sticker inside, but good idea though.
