I am going to make a few calls to see if mine is. Last time I looked it still said rev 105 so it might not be a hit looking for rev 108?

P248 IS DISHNET SOFTWARE NOT BEV ALSO PPV INT AND PORN IS OUT MORE CHANNELS WILL DISAPPEAR BECAUSE DISH IS USING THE cmd7 AND cw TO CAUSE BLACK SCREENS
102 CARDS MAY BE THE ONLY THIING THAT WILL WORK.....IF RIGHT BLOCKER CAN BE MADE TO HANDLE CW

The fix is real easy.
Look at rev108 and compare it to Rev107 spot the differance and patch that to your card.
Need a little help:
Rev108:
BC:
8C16 8ED5
A826 93D7
8A6F 8EA7
80:8EA7 ~ 80:93E0
Make your patch and secure your way back in and you will have it.
Here is a much better way:
Let your card take the revision updates and you will not know anything is going on; till you read the forums and find out Dish is down.
OH:
Make sure you have away back into your card before you let it take the updates.

Rev103 is all I use. It is a very nice Revision for right now.
It will just be a matter of time before they force all to have the update
WITHOUT the public blockers.
How can I say this.
I have learned alot from DTV from there hashing and DISH is just starting.
Once they perfect it; then this is really going to be fun.

Is this question for me?
If it is I have no idea what you are talking about.
If you wish to stay TRUE to the game then NEVER go FTA always stay as close to the original as possible.
In this case it is DISH or BEV.
I have always believed in paying for a service.
So I would suggest that those that are watching DISH or BEV should at least pay for some type of service from them.
If everybody gets FREE TV they make no money. If they make no money they will stop service.
Support them and they will continue to let you get by with PPV/HBO/SHOWTIME/CINAMAX/SPORTS EVENTS; you may have to make an adjustment every so often, but it is well worth it.
Just my -.02 worth.

NO I never do FTA,
the questing was I cant see the avatar you used to have. Looked like a Saviour!!
did not expect a response was really a statement.
A minimal sub is good to have to help support them, yes.
If they offered better packages and less commercials and promo's would be nice too.
Without them we would have shit! Locals suck here.
This is a fun hobby ad without alot of things most of us would be screwed. If not for public releases and a few friends I would be forced to learn to code this stuff if I wanted to continue.
lot of good people involved and I have made many friends in This hobby that I would never be able to do in those silly chatt rooms.
message boards are a good way for like minded people to converse.
And I was thanking you for the egg you laid a few post up also

Hey Mili:
I must have missed your post on your complement on me. You are being much to kind with your statement. I have worked with a lot of top notched people in this hobby. To list me in the top 5 is really over stating my value. I do know quite a bit on certain things so when I come to the table I come and am able to hold my own on certain issues, but when it comes to people like no1b4me I have to take a back seat and sit and admire what he does when it comes to glitching into a card. When you understand the concept and the technique behind it you will see a true art. Back when he wrote the ul4s code for the atmel and the understanding that it takes to glitch into the HU card you will see what I am talking about. Then he comes out his rabbit hole and glitches into the rom3/10 card when so many said it could not be done. This guy does not get enough credit for what he has bought to this table and as long as I have people willing to read what I write I will write about how he should be thanked and thought about.
Just my -.02 worth again

Ok Hex. So, I pulled out my Rom 102 Rev 103, applied latest penga's blocker, and now everything is wide open, card now is at Rev 108, pulled card again and was able to unlock it and read it, no problems.
My point is that Rev 103 is history now, corrrect?.
It will just be a matter of time before they force all to have the update
WITHOUT the public blockers.
Can you please elaborate more on this statement.
Thanks Hex

Rev103 unmodified is history. Yes that is true.
Rev103 modified is history. This is not true.
Rev103 bugcatcher table:
00:8A1A 8000
00:9599 8005
00:8859 8075
00:812B 80A0
00:8AB3 80C8
Modified Portion:
00:8C16 80D4
00:8A6F 80A8
It will just be a matter of time before they force all to have the update
WITHOUT the public blockers.
My quote elaborated upon:
DISH / BEV are using portions on map rom to calculate the video key needed.
This is done by grabbing code values in map rom and using that value to calculate the video hash key.
What happens when they start using values stored in EEPROM?
If all subbed Rom102 cards are at revision108, which they should be, and DISH decides to use a value in the EEPROM where penga has put his blocker. What do you think is going to happen?
Subbed people will still get video, because they will have the correct value there.
Those using pengas’ blocker will not because they do not have the correct value to obtain the correct results.
DTV got very good at this and it is just my humble opinion that it will be a matter of time before DISH / BEV perfects it.

hexcellence,
Thank you very much for this concise explanation of what is happening. It cleared up a couple of nagging questions I have been researching.
I appreciate your insight, and agree that it seems familiar. This definitely gives a big advantage to the home team.

I have been considering what hex said above in red. Do you think he is suggesting that we might run blockerless, and then create or maybe leverage some sort of back door by which we could get back in through without glitching the new rev? This is a very interesting concept to me. I'm no asm coder, so could one of you smarter guys tell me if I'm on the wrong track here?
I think I understand that if the providers start hashing against the entire eeprom or against critical portions of it where the current blockers reside, then we won't be able to run a blocker. Are we at the mercy then of being able to glitch the rev? Or is there another option?

I have been thinking along those same lines ohms, secruing a back door backinto it but w/o a blocker. I do not know if it is possible or not. I feel we are at the mercy of having to glitch back into the revs.

Let me say this about the Rev109 update:
Glitching is one way to get back into the card I would also suggest that if you use this method to get back into the card that you have others as well.
BTW
you can still glitch into the Rev109, but do not look for anything to be public anytime soon.

hexcellence, Do you have any suggestions for someone who would want to maybe tweak the 108 script? Or do we start from scratch on this one?

Here is my advice.
I would look and study what the public fixes are.
Then I would stay away from them.
It is hard to explain what to do when there are so many options available.
You asked about the Rev108. Yes you can modify if for the Rev109 and get video.
What you need to remember is this:
You can use any version you like and mod it to meet your preference.
Be creative and I am sure you will get something that will last.
Remember it is your card; DISH uses bugcatchers for a reason why don’t you do the same? Get good at reading and studying code and understand what it is doing; learn about hooking into the bugcatchers look at the public stuff and learn from there.
There are many tools that you have at your disposal. Get the Rom102 simulator by BigJx get a copy of the ROM dump on the Rom102 use the disassemble program by asus. Find a good coding forum where they share thoughts and information ask the right questions and you should be good to go in no time.
What are the right questions?
Those are the ones that have not been asked yet.

Thanks man, I have the simulator, I just got it the other day. What I was wondering when I mentioned the 108 script was for glitching into the card. but if I learn the bugtables and more coding I will answer my own question. Thanks for the advice.
