View Full Version : DP311 and DP811 blocker and instructions are here
Here are the instuctions and files that are needed to get the 311/811's going. The pics do not match exactly what the instructions say. The setup for hex workshop and a key gen is included. Also the N2Edit and setting ini.

Milli,
is there a how to with Nagramaster, since N2edit does not work for me. I always have to use NM loader version. I just bought another 311 also.
guess its pretty simple even without a how to with NM loader version....sounds straight forward. I will try this with NM loader version.
Milli,
I noticed that after adding the blocker to the 311 image it goes from rev 283 to 286....is this okay. I have not written it to the card yet. I was just making the changes first.

Not that familiar with hex workshop. I open file and I scroll down to find 4600 and all I see is 45F6 and the next line is 4608.

you can narrow hex workshop on the right margin so it shows addresses in lines of 10. I cant find out where they want me to patch at 2D00 cuz I don't have a 0C01 in that line, I have a 0C00 so I put it there, then I get error when patching blocker. I need clarification on address, not text. whre are you lighting?

Same boat here.
Well I also get the same thing as Crazy....I get an error with the cam ids.....same thing as Crazy.....I noticed that if I used the original bin from that 311 it patched fine....but when I use the current image that I am using right now and save, then make the changes to that one...then when I go to patch I get cam ids not the same.....
If i open NM then the original image of the 311 then make changes then patch....no problem patching and no errors...I dont understand the difference...i bet something has changed the original bin...for ex. the patches or may be even charlie....but the current image cant be changed without getting any errors after patching....
i hope lightning can shed some light on the subject!!!!

I started pasting at 2D00 and it took from a clean 283 bin, I do not know if it works yet, I am doing it for a friend of mine so I emailed it to him, he hasn't gotten back to me yet. but I got it to patch w/o errors.

Yo,
The line a 2D00 does infact start with 0C00. That was a typo.
If you are getting a camid error then it is one of two things. You either did not use the blocker mili supplied or you used penga blocker and did not disable the cam info at $30D8. Put a ; in front of it and that will disable it. Also, do not patch the bottom half of the V28E to the 311/811. Only the top half is neccessary.
We have used this on several 311/811's and all are working fine.

Yo,
To make things easier to find in HW you might want to narrow the field to 16 bits per line like in N2Edit. You can do that by putting your curser on the line that seperates the two fields. You should see an arrow pointing left and right. Left click and hold down and move the curser to the left untill you see only eight blocks of two bits each. That will make finding the address's a lot easier.

Yo,
You can also use N2Edit to remap the eeprom. Simply open the bin, highlight everything from the A500 to the bottom. Then right click on the highlighted area and click on copy as hex. Then right click at the start of A700 and click on paste. Patch blocker. done.

Yes N2edit highlight everything from A500 down to about B900 or to the end of your tiers and data and then right click and copy as hex then go back to A700 and click on that line and turn it blue and then right click and paste. Then patch the new blocker. This moves everything that starts at A500 and down to now starting at A700 and then down. This is what needt to be done to work with this new 28v blocker. You can use hexworkshop or hexedit or any hex editor or Nagra2edit.
In order for my patch to take....i have to add a lot of " ; " to alot of millis patch.
what i am doing is comparing the image of my current 311 rev 281, to the patch and looking at the data that it wants to apply to my current image. Anything that it wants to overwrite i add a ";". I do this after I have moved the data from A500 all the way to A700.
Otherwise it keeps saying that cam ids not matching. Is this okay to do...I just dont want to get locked out of my cam. I already fubrd one 311. also the begining of the patch i did this:

Go to www.dssftp.com and then go to the ROM1OX BINS AND PATCHES section. You will find the new blocker there that has been modded for the 311/811 and is ready to go. Just move your data space, apply the blocker and it should work fine.

It works just fine, with Viper's instructions. Thanks
well...just tried it again....this time just by just doing it exactly as posted by viper...and still no go.....
what i did this time, was i only moved the all data space from A500 down, then pasted at A700. Then i applied the milli blocker and again....cam ids do not match. And this is doing only the data space copy and paste. This is why I modified the patch not to write over certain data, so that I would not get this....
does anyone have any ideas???
im also using Nagramaster loader v...dont know if this has something to do with it?

When I follow Mili's instructions on my 311 using NagraMaster, I get the following error when I go to write to the card, "NagraMaster can not write this bin as it contains code in the write patch area. Please check location 9A40 for EEPROM data. Please write another image to your card." Can anyone explain what I am doing incorrectly? Thanks.

I don't know what you are doing wrong, but the instructions are very simple, highlight from A500 all the way down, copy as a hex, and paste starting at A700, then use the blocker(copy from the notepad and paste it on the apply patch window with N2, not nagra master) and write to the receiver.

I believe nagramaster is trying to install temporary backdoor patch at A940, with current blocker and base bin we have info at that part of image. so it won't install patch

Yo,
I have run into a couple of 311's that came up with provider unknown after applying the patch. We fixed this by starting over and patching the bin with the tiers first then moving the data info and then apply the V28E. No problem after that.

The reason I am using NagraMaster is because I have a 311 with an imbeded 102 and must read it with a Nexus loader/unlocker. I can't get nagra2edit to read card with the Nexus.

You need an ISO programmer
I also use Nagramaster....same reason as you do sheep,....N2edit does not work for me period!!!
I also have an ISO programmer....the thing is just sitting on my desk collecting dust...oh well...maybe I will be able to use it later on....for now its Nexus blue, and my Super Nexus!!!
Also just zero(0) out the data line at $9A40 , then try to write....this should let you write to the card! Hope this helps!!!
I finally got my 311 rev 281 to work!!! PPV Movies again!!! Cant beleive it took me 3 days to figure this out....couldnt of done it with out everyone's help....thanx again....

Scroll down and highlight line 4600 through line 4800 by holding down on the left clicker and drag it to line 4800. Then right click on the highlighted area and then click on cut.
Go up to line 2D00 and right click at the start of “0C01” and then click on paste. You should see several lines of zeros appear in red . You are done.
Im domb enpugh not to find the addresses mili put in his instructions please help or recomend another hex editor that coud identify 4600 line easy, 4800 and Go up to line 2D00 and right click at the start of “0C01” and then click on paste. You should see several lines of zeros appear in red . You are done.

it is "0C00" not "0C01", and you can try Viper's method, is easier.

When I go to 2D00 in hex workshop, I have nothing but 0's. I don't have an 0C00. This image never had a blocker on it, if that makes a difference (but, testing it, I can get tv, but no ppv). How would I go about adding the blocker then?

There might not be anything on line 2D00(Hex workshop) or A500(Nagra) in your bin, but the directions are just the same anyway.

Ok, I just screwed up a perfectly working 311 with these directions. "Unknown provider". Got error when writing image. Won't be trying this with any more of my receivers until there is something more stable and straight forward about adding blockers. I guess there are alot of us out there that have ruined there receivers. Oh well, chalk up another one to testing. I'm going to go shoot myself.

811 receiver down provider unknown.
I followed the directions to the bone.
When I went to I write my bin to card I got a error and wasn't able to unlock or read my ROM 102 CARD.
Is their anybody here that can help me, I paid about 500.00 bucks for this receiver.
I would really hate to lose this receiver.

You will need a modded loader with 4619 chips and run the program rebelserfomniunlocker102 on it. You will have to cut the appropriate traces then resolder them using a 811 guide if you need it pm me. You will also need some luck.

I tested out the codespace blocker posted with a 311 and it works fine, but I had to change the lock to manual lock to get it to lock. All you have to do with this blocker is patch it to your bin, no need to move anything around. Heres what I changed in the full codespace blocker that is posted a few posts up.
; If you want to lock it manually
; change the 00 below to 01 otherwise
; the blocker will lock itself

I have same problem. Internal 102 of a 311 can only be read by Nagramaster using blue Nexus loader unlocker. ISO dual crystal programmer will not work. Have tried and tried to use new reorged data and V28E blocker but keep getting write fail in Nagramaster due to line 9A40 error. Would appreciate help using this kind of setup. Thanks.

I dont know if I am to late been to England for the past 3 weeks
the 0C01 is an address do a find for it also if you cannot find line 4600 to 4800 do a search they are addresses also (In HEX) If you have to use nagramaster like me change the $9A40 line to all 0
nagramaster uses this area so changing to 0 lets it do its job
Paste the blocker but make sure you ; at the
your cam ID ,date-Time

There is no need to move any of the data around with the blocker form c0desP4c3. Just patch it to your image as usual.

811 from Mili...
I am using ta nexus loader and Nagramaster loader version...
When I apply Blocker I get a pop-up message "3 CAM ID's" are different and gives me the option to fix. Is this OK to fix and write?
Also the IRD, BLD, Boxkey info on the Nagrmanster screen goes away after the patch has been applied. Is this normal, can I write the image?
I am too chicken to write this image unitl I hear from someone...

I have heard so many stories like this that. I would get an ISO programmer and use N2Edit Beta 9. Have had no issues there.

Hey circlebar or Mili,
When you apply the blocker do you get a "3 cam ID's different, click OK to fix"? with Nagramaster. I need to know if this is normal?
Also, lose info on right of Nagrmaster screen after I appply blocker (ie, build, boxkey). Is this normal or do I have problems. I have not written this new image to the reciever yet.

I have read that you do not 'rock the boat', in other words, if it works with your current firmware you do not accept or download the latest version. Now you say to accept all revisions - what really is the recommendation? I have a 311 and 811 currently working OK.
Yes as long as it works don't fix it but since there are no ECMs targeting it right now might as well take the recivr updates.

811 with passive interface, using nagamaster to program read and write.
Used the new blocker (this was my first time updating since my initial patch) and still getting the nag on many channels.
read card
cleaned codesapce
patched card with new v28
saved image
wrote image to card
got 05 nag
so I started over
got original bin
cleaned codesapce
patched tiers and Blocker
wrote image to card
got 05 nag
Is there something I missed?
Also, when the unit does its initial startup where it counts 1 to 5, after 1 I get a pop up that says pay per view requires a telephone hookup. ALso the s00 number is blank unitl it gets past that pay per view message.
Any direction would be greatly appreciated
Was there something I missed

Which one is the correct one to be used on 311 and 811 receivers? "Hail to the chief" or "c0d3sp4c3".

The last one that is working without moving any data space is from HAILTOTHEKING.

I may sound dumb but is there a way for people who buy stuff from this site to get the files they need ASAP without buying VIP? I mean I bought 2 311's and a unlocker spent over 500 bucks and have to wait till like 2 am to download the blocker i need, To me that is redickulious.

I would be asking napo that. He has the handle on this stuff almost immediately from a VERY reliable source. He is just a little slow, especially after his nap. Where do you think NAPolean came from?? Around three he takes his pamprin and gets the hormone balance back to within legal limits. I'll give him 'til mpeg 4 and he will be toast after that.

Its not different. The only reason i think they edit is because the regular penga blocker will take you to rev 109 rather with the new dp311 blocker it will take you to rev287. I might be wrong but thats what i am thinking the edition to the blocker is for.

Everything worked for me on my 811. Used NagraMaster (loader version) without issue.
There seems to be some MPEG2 HD channels that I don't get with those tiers (Universal, ESPN 2, Starz) on 129, but all else seems to work.

I tried the same procedure using HailtotheKing blocker and the problem seems to have gone away. The V28G blocker must be writing info that Nagramaster doesn't like.

For People who where using Penga blocker on internal 311 or 811 to now use new codespace blocker this is what I did to make it work.
1. unlock card.
2. read card.
3. clean codespace with nagra2edit.
4 Now patch the codespace rev 281 cleaner patch the new one within the new codespace v12i blocker zip file.
5. Patch new codespace V12i blocker. Make sure you use the i version for internal cams.
6. Write to card.

ask this question earlier, still no intelligent answer! So, i'll ask again in n2edit after you have
1.unlocked card
2.saved image
3.cleaned card
4.open file
5.patch blocker (codespace v12i for 311)
this is were I am having trouble cause I normal just cut & paste. but can't open file. what is the step to patch the file.
I know you can open it in n2edit but do you copy the whole script.
Thanks

I always open the patches up in notepad and click control-a to highlight all and then control-c to copy and then click tools and apply patch in nagra2edit and click in the window, then click apply patch.
My directions tell you to clean codespace with nagra2edit tools function, then also after that patch the codespace rev281 clean patch, so you clean it twice, then patch the new blocker. This way of doing it will work and it doesn't matter what blocker you where running before as long as you do it in the order I posted. Clean the bin first with nagra2edit, then apply the new codespace rev281 clean patch. I tested this numerouse times and works great if you where running the penga blocker before with the moved dataspace or not.
Saving the files is something you should aways do after reading and writeing and always with a newer name or put the date and time in the name so you know when it was written and read. I tend to leave the saving part out of my directions, but yes you need to save the read and the write, each with different names.

You need to clean your 311 or 811 bin with nagra2edit 2.3 or newer. I used nagra2edit 2.57. The old versions won't clean 311's or 811's bins.

N2edit 2.58 is by far the best progie to use with the I-cam IRD's..and a close second on any card. It has a built in clean card feature that will write a good clean image to your card. It's also adjusted to a speed that write's safer. I use it...
