View Full Version : Can I use OLD ISO Programmers, or do I need new ones?

SOmebody please help me..

I understand that I need a Unlocker (nexus or mikobu) to unlock the card - got THAT

NOW,

what type of iso programmer do I need ?

3.57 ?
3.6 ?


(from dave days and dish rom3 days)

or do I need to purchase a new one?

yes any iso will werk as long as it has 3.68 crystal.......although I am using a mk13 iso with 3.57

3.68 is the recommended crystal for DN, I also have seen them work with the 3.57.

It's no joke, obviously you're a 'newbie' to testing. KAC go back to the H days and were well known by everyone, including Dave. They were Busted and went down hard.

Does NextGen 3.57 works for D*sh card ? It has jumper set OFF/HU/H/OFF and also a FLASH jumper too with ATMEL chip and 6 of 74Hxxxx chips...Tried with NE3.0 returns ATR 00 00 00... then NE4.1 is Invalid...Anyone has any conclusion please.

Ohh...it sounded like this toy can offer better function than I expected, but why NE3.0 returns nothing from my rom10 ?. I know for sure it worked for HU card before for both Programming/Unlocking.

because nagraedit uses iso only ...no loaders...the s/w for direct was setup to run on loaders like Extreme HU.........try reading a 102 in Nagramaster 2.0...load newd13 flash on your loader first.......you should get some response since NM 2.0 is setup to run on loader

Cool and Thanks Zim. Do you have some detail step of how to load newd13 to Atmel and do you have link for newd13 file please.From posts, I know this Atmel is very common chip (AT9052313-105C), as mentioned, there is flash jumper, well not whether this jumper selection is for card flash or for Atmel flash.Is there risk for looping the card as some post mentioned that with xctl 3.57, it might...can you or someone confirm this please....cheers

i have a grey sable cat....since the "h" card days...even he has heard of Kickassclones...and he doesnt test..as far as i know..;)

the 3.68 crystal is definately the one recommended for dish but if you get your hands on a dual programmer that has both the 3.57 and 3.68 in it,then get that....

it is easy to convert your 3.57 into a 3.68 ...all you need is a 3.6864 4 pin crystal to do so...and a little soldering practice.....

as far as this KAC thing I honestly never remember hearing of such ..aslo I never needed any unlooper/loader for the H ...I got my first for the HU.....:)

Found NEWD13 and give it a short, however, I have encountered 'Active Atmel not found..', likely the XPAtmel does not talk to the H-loader. There is a jumper called FLASH, I have it on/off and both produced same result. Then I play around another jumper set OFF/H/HU/OFF, resulted same. What might be wrong here ?btw, the clock/crystal is 1.8432, is this the crystal for D*sh ?
