I recieved a message today, describing what may be the next "package" offered from DirecTV.

Total Choice Titanium

This package should be available around 6/28/2006
I wasn't given a $$ amount yet, BUT it will be a 1 time Annual Charge... Here is what you get:

JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING

All Total Choice Premier Channels
The HD Package
ALL PPVs
All Special Sports Subscriptions (NFL, MLB, NHL, NCAA, NBA, ....)
Playboy
Pretty much everything except the Internationals.

Also, Additional reciever fees would be waived. (even though it wasn't listed, I would think DVR fees would be waived too)

Also you would have the opportunity to get up to 10 recievers (of any kind).
Those would be leased, but depending on the up front cost.....

I hope to get more details and confirm those deatils over the next few days.

I've had this package for over a year using the "H" card! Called Blind Man's 3M".

You just have to have a slight vission problem to use it fully. Ha ha.

What I heard from a friend of mine that works at a dtv call center was that the Titanium package would be available as of june 24th. The package is priced at $10,000 per year as a one time charge with a credit card. The first year is priced at a promo price of $7,500. The benefits of such a package are as follows:

Account will labeled as a VIP account type which means only one call center will be authorized to assist the customer.

The initial order can have up to 10 leased receviers at no additional cost. These may be ANY combination of regular receivers, hd, dvr, or hd-dvrs. All additional receivers will be at regular price. VIP installation, wall phising, custom work at no extra cost.

No additional receiver fees. No limit to the amount of receivers on the account. Free service calls. Same day service calls available if customer calls before 12 noon.

Programming will include the hd package, dvr service, ONdirectv magazine, all of the total choice premier and the spanish channels. The international channels will be available at no extra cost at the request of the customer. ALL sports subscriptions, adult channels are OPEN. ALL PPV CHANNELS, EVENTS MUST BE PURCHASED THROUGH IPPV ONLY.


Now, this leads to some very intertesting scenarios. Say the inital order could include all 10 free receivers, 20 more regular receivers at the regular price of $50. So the intial order would be priced at $1000, so coupled with the promo price of $7,500 the total price for the first year, that means a grand total of 8,500. Divided by 30 total receivers, would leave the price per receiver per year at $283 which further divided to get a price per month of $23 monthly..... Now that is a monthly price I would pay. Now the only thorn in this is that IPPV only......
