I have a question on a 6000

Ok I have a 6000 and I have the original panga rom 10 to 102 and now I need to put on the new public fix. I just did a 508 by changing the boxkeys and ird # on a virgin bin and it worked fine. My question is now that I have the old boxkeys can I change the box keys on my saved flashes and then write them back and will I have tv? ...............thanks ............two-dogs

I have never done a 6000 but I think you can change the boxkey ird number on current flashes and be ok. no need to virginize.

crazy1 is correct just change the box keys and ird numbers to match the public fix and it will work. You may have to add the ppv tiers to penga's tiers. I think he is using the nbc tiers and im not sure if the hd tiers are there or not.

Ok when I save the tsops when I open them up in flashedit the check sums on the right are wrong do I fix them or just leave them alone 7D3E68CA

Are you saying that you can use the rom 10 right now?

Not sure I think it is flash2 is all you have to change for the ird and box keys to change.
Maybe flash 1. either wasy all you do is change your numbers to match the public fix and YES click on fix crc in flash edit when you do.
Then make a virgin eprom USING the files your going to write.

Now I think I f---ed up I wrote back the tsop and it wrote fine but the blue light came on and not the power. So I downloaded a tsop and wrote it and now it wont even power up and when I detect everything is ok shows like it supposed to but I try and flash program but it does not detect the flash Jkeys does not recongize flash. Is there anything I can do to make it detect the flash?

might have put the flashes in backwards.
now you must do the bfl jumper to get it to reconize the flashes

I should add that the virgin eprom needs to match the sticker on the board or you may get no power or flashing light.

Here is what I did I did the BFL then found a tsop that worked I flashed it and it had the old boxkey fix and I had tv. So I took that file and changed the boxkeys and Ird#s and saved and saved virgin eeprom. I flashed that to my rec. put in the stream but no power light but I have blue light. Turned off rec. then I got a power and yellow light picked up remote and hit sd/hd then blue light came on with the power and I now have tv thanks thanks thanks for all your help life is good .........two-dogs
