I am trying to test PPV setup- so I downloaded the latest update in the files section (SatVia_DishNoRSA_96-TA.PFG) but I am using the original Tomico IRD setup (ie. CAM R 00 4477 9361-XX) which is not what the RSA setup uses.
So- off I go and get HHD's Free Hex Editor and try to change the CAM settings in the RSA file to match those required by the Tomico setup. In the right-hand side of the display I see "Info"- find the CAM ID section, change the numbers appropriately to match the Tomico ID's/Keys- and write the file and program the Atmega.
Problem? The card is still no good in the receiver set up with Tomico IDs. As far as I can tell- all I did was change the CAM ids in the "info" segment of the PFG file- but not the actual ids which must exist somewhere in the rather large programming block- which I can't find- at least not with the limited search function of the Free HHD editor.
Anyone still following me and can help to locate the correct segment of the main portion of the PFG file to change the NoRSA pfg to match a Tomico pfg setup? Or tell me if I'm completely off base in trying to do this and why it won't work.
Sure, I could wait for someone to upload an appropriate Tomico file- but I haven't learnt much about anything just downloading PFGs and running Jeepers...
