personally with everything happening in the stream i would be leary about buying any thing besides a rom102 card currently. if you ok with the posibility of having limited use of it they that is a good receiver.

get DREAMBOX 500-s
best FTA out there, its a PC with a linux based operating system running as its image (just imagine how Windows is on your PC), and runs an emulator. The experts modify the images/emulator as needed, for example, this recent crap with ROM102 being integral to the solution, ....Dreambox has been running nicely since early last week because the experts modded the emulator by integrating a simple ROM102 bin........... the possibilities and solutions are endless for this baby....with the exception of only 1 thing, when MPEG4 (HDTV) becomes a standard with d1sh/B3V and MPEG2 is no longer in any stream, then this version of the Dreambox will probably not be of any use, but no worries, DreamMultimedia is already on top of a MPEG4 receiever and i'm sure we'll see it soon enough.

1 BIG detail though:

you NEED to be IT savy (understand simple networking, FTP, and basically how you use your computer) and you need to reaaaaaaaaaaaaad, not too much info at this site, but theres another one out there that has lots of info...
