Stay away from gloss paints. It causes the LNB to overheat. Acts like a solar reflector!

I had the same problem and I put a cover on it and the prob was gone

Two years ago I did a silver spray job on my dish and cooked the LMB in the first afternoon!

Have heard of fancy picture paintings in flat that worked okay again, avoid LMB. Color doesn't seem to matter but be aware of heat build up.
i painted a potrate of oj simpson on all 9 of my dishes
