I just learned that I cant use my Nexus with N2Edit as they are not compatible. I seem to be using Nagramster with no problems. I am able to unlock with no problems but I cant get anything to work. I see that some instructions tell me to use N2Edit. If I use Nagramaster instead will that cause a problem? Does Nagramaster write to a card in different places than N2Edit?

Nagramaster's unlocker set up is actually pretty darn good, and it's great for editing the eprom image. When it comes to writing though, I much prefer N2edit2_beta1. I especially don't care for the version of nagramaster that's supposed to write to the rom via a modded HU unlooper. Writing the rom with Nagramaster is probably not the best way to go. To write the rom, you really should have an 3.68Mhz ISO and do it with N2edit.

i have an old Mikobu that I used to program HU cards with. Would I be able to write using N2Edit with the old Mikobu?

No. You will need an official ISO programmer unless you want to take your chances with the version of nagramaster that is reputed to be able to write to rom using an unlocker. I don't trust doing that with nagramaster even though many folks are reporting that it works fine. I recomend you stick with N2edit for writing to the rom.

Thanks! What are the problems that people are having with Nagramaster? I havnt had any problems reading and writing. Does N2Edit do something that Nagramaster does not do?

I've been able to recover cards with NagraMaster that seemed to be completely lost even returning no ATR in N2Edit.

NagraMaster has a "force write" option that does this. I wouldn't suggest using it unless all options are exhausted, since I imagine it could loop your card if it wasn't already. But I thought my cards were cooked and as far as N2Edit was concerned they were.

NagraMaster's built in unlocker works very well.

N2Edit is the one who all the people in the know say to use. My knowledge is limited in the actual glitching process so I can't see any benefit to it, but I'm sure there must be some.
