005 error: you're smart card does not have auth...

Any idea why I'd now be getting an error 005 "your smart card does not have authorization to view this channel"? I'm getting this on every channel. Using Private Bin on a dish 2800. But here's something I noticed:
when programming in Romcode, in the tier editor, only the top box for "romcode super tier is checked". None of the tiers in the boxes below are checked - however, the Romcode super tier says "includes everything except what you see below". Am I supposed to check which tiers I want (i.e. - porn, ppv, movies, etc) in addition to cjecking the Romcode super tier?

Still no go...but I get all the preview channels, plus the channel that tells me I'm authorized for the WWE event. Any ideas why I'm getting the 005 error?

if ur using your own private info, u dont have to write anything to ur ird...if ur using thier bin, then u have to write the box keys to ur ird...if ur using your own private bin(not romcodes) then all u have to do is clean your card, then write to ur card, put in reciever and let it do its thing...could always try a check switch

Did you write the IRD# in hex and the BK from the private bin? Use flashedit on your TSOP you saved with JKEYS to change them and then save your "modded" TSOP. Then use JKEYS to erase your original TSOP and write the new "modded" TSOP to your IRD. Wheeee! Now you're a tester!

You have to use Flashedit on your saved flash and then use Jkeys to write it. You just can't use Jkeys only.

005 could be the keys not right.
Did you click live update and get the latest bin from romcode.

Forgot to mention that I did use flash edit to change the boxkeys / ird. Updated Romcode. Boxkeys look correct - although I did copy and paste them into Word just to make sure zeros aren't letter O's. (can boxkeys even have letter O's?). After that, I'm stumped. Is anyone else using a 2800 private bin? Maybe I could PM you just make sure I have the boxkeys correct (0's and O's).

no. a letter o will never be a boxkey.
0123456789 abcdef is only the ones in hex format which is what flashedit uses.
Maybe when you flashed it you did not make a virgin eprom with the correct build counfig to match the flashes you used.
Use flash edit, open tsop and select create virgin. then type in the letters thats on the board config sticker..
flash the new virgin eprom last thing before you unhook jtag.
in jkeys click detect when you are done to see what the sys info screen shows in jkeys.

I am also getting 005 nag on a 301.013. The IRD updated to the latest version. It is: P242.

I used their "private" bin and moded the flash with their IRD # and Box Keys.

I just now checked and the Software is X242.
Anyone seen that before?

Uggh...I have a second 2800 ird that I reflashed with the private boxkeys / ird #. Reprogrammed card, still 005.
But I just thought of something. Have two cards, two irds. On the first card - after I programmed with Romcode - I kept getting a card not valid with this receiver. So I took that card and changed the ird and boxkeys on the card iteslf using nagramaster / n2edit. (I know, that may have been stupid). When I inserted the card, that's when the receiver gave me a "receiver is locked error". Ny doing that to the card, could it have somewhow locked the ird? I was able to unlcok the ird, but wonder if did anything to screw it up?
The second card was a virgin, programmed with Romcode, but still get the 005 error in that same ird.
SO - maybe I can reflash a new 2800 (one that I haven't flashed) and try that. But I wonder if changing the ird / boxkeys on the first card may have screwed something up both on the card and the ird?

not on a 2800 ird....i am using a 301.013 ird with romcode which the card and reciever were married pair...didnt have to do anything to the ird at all

card not valid = the ird # does not match.
when using private bin you MUST change ird and box keys on the ird, NOT THE card. The bin they provide will have the numbers on the card for you,
When using your own info. the ird# and boxkeys are not wrote to the card because they are already on there.

005 = romcode is out of date and need to update it with the live update button on the romcode interface.

start off with cleaning the card using the romcode program. then jtag ird again and double check the Numbers make sure they are what they need to be.

start over, maybe you missed something somewhere and it is so obvious that we are over looking it

Hello all I double checked all the numbers in jkeys and still get 005 not authorized to view this channel. I get all the preview channels and that's it. I have cleaned and reprogrammed a couple of times and still no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thankls I have a 301.013 single TSOP. I performed the vidmod and put the numbers that the romcode gave me in there. Please help.

I have 301-013 single file for Romcode, I can't upload, it scrambles my files, I'll be happy to e-mail to anyone, just pm and addy.

Ok, the attached txt file IS NOT a text file, rename it to .zip and open it.

it contains the 301-013 single tsop and virgin eeprom for romcode numbers.

It's a DAHA tsop and DAHD eeprom, compatible with ALL 301 single tsop receivers, use AS IS.

ok, here you go, these are edited for Romcode,
NOTE the tsop file will not open in flashedit correctly as a 301, you MUST use 501 moved bootstrap setting to open it.
You read that right 501 moved bootstrap, it's a nescessary mod to move the data and remove SKs.
ALSO, it will read in jkeys as a 301/3100, but will work fine..........
DAHA tsops and DAHD eeproms work in ALL 301 single receivers.


it works, just ask drsatman99, I sent it to him he reports success.

No magic needed for the one, just edit the receiver number and boxkeys, you set.

Try cleaning card in romcode, then apply virgin rom102rev103.bin to card using n2edit or nagramaster, check atr, then re-program 102 card with romcode, try that. do a check switch and double check sat strength on 110/119 ,leave on channel 101 for few seconds too...

also, are we sure this is not a ROM 101 card? it will now give u 005 till the cows come home.

well finally got it working must have been somthing with the tsops i was using unmodded ones from the download section and modding them with the ird and bk's, then i tried the norsa satvia ones and whola i have tv again.
