hi, i have a viewsat plat. with a 39.5 inch dish. i have good signal and quality but when it comes to the venus channels i get searching for signal. i was told that with this dish i was going to get them. i'm i doing something wrong? thanks:)

Where are you located. I have heard you can't get those channels in the southern US because the footprint for venus is a smaller one. I think they are on transponder 3. You can confirm that at lyingsat. Check your singnal strength on that transponder.

i'm kinda new to this b3v. i live south florida. i tried using lyingsat and i couldn't figure it out.

Erenia, I Am not familiar with footprints in that part (I Am in Canada) but I had programed a couple of Platinums and when I had that problem always related to bird settings, likely the switch settings. Give it a try, double check your switch settings for that bird!!!

:rolleyes: im in canada and 1 use a 18" dish for b3v , like the ones we use for chalie 110 and 119 try a small charlie dish and point it to nimiq 1 (91 w) and good luck , you shoul get a good signal like that

lnb standard 11250 try to do a blind search on the 18" dish for sure you will get them
