afraid very afraid to touch rom102 rev103 card

just got my nexus unlocker from milis today. have two locked cards. the cards are at rev103. have read horror stories about unlocking . would be greatful for suggestions as to the best way to unlock these cards. would prefer not to loop them. have read nagamaster is not the best. also read not to touch with pins one and five down. if not one and five what combination please.

First off, you bought the best unlocker IMO...

I prefer Nagramaster for 103/105.. It is the easiest..

I use 2.2k ohms with 13d and 2 and 5 dip down..

I can pop any 103 and 105 in a few minutes. One took ten..LOL

The settings above WILL work.. You can adjust the ohms to suit you
as that seems to be the only thing that differs from one user to another..

I have also popped cards with dip 3 down..

You have a chance to loop any card while glitching.. But 103 and 105 are
the easiest. Get up to 108 and you will have one hell of a time..

Oh ya, check you ohms with no power to the nexus..

And I suggest you dont move your pot while glitching.. But I think most
of us do it..

Set your unlocker to what I said above and walk away from it..

Patience is the key.. If it dont open. Stop it, lower it, then walk away again..

Then once you find out where it wants to be, you will be a pro...

at the pot you need a meter set to ohms 2k range or auto place one of the leads on center and the other on the end that is being used. Adjust to 2.2 but first record the setting you have now

You have a lot of reading to do, my friend. I don't even have a nexus yet, but if you read the following thread, measure the resistance on the two little tabs labeled RTS on the loader. Also, I'm reading that resistance should be low, like in the 200 Ohm range, but please do some reading before you hook everything up:

Be careful, I got milli's loader, I had two cards, and now I have two looped no atr cards.


this is what I did. I flashed with NEWD13, Tried unlocking with nagramaster. I left pot in 12:00 position as it came. Looped card within 2 min.

I don't have a ohm meter, so I read to turn pot counter clockwise to the 7:00 position. This time I used winexplored with rebelsurf for versions 105 and below. It ran for about 22 min, them BOOM. also looped. No ATR on either card now. I don't have any more to try. Expensive mistake, now if I could only figure out what mistake I made.

I flashed with 1 and 6 on. ----succesful
I tried to unlock with 2 and 5 on-----got response, but looped cards. So whatever you do, don't do what I did (which I am not sure)

You didnt measure your ohms...

That is the number one reason why peeps loop there cards..

Come on people, you have to measure your ohms or you will
end up with dead cards....

Been following the rev 103 nightmares others have and now I'm wonerding if mine are looped. Both are virgin cards are both show no ATR's. I'm using a modded Mik3, 5k 10 turn pot, set at 20-25 ohms,then 200-220 ohms, and 2.2kohms. I used these ohm setting with rom102 nd13 aoff-intercept autovcc20 and also used Nagramaster.

I get the no ATR with every program. I inserted a card into the IRD out of the stream and it shows a good CAM at rev 103. Since the cards have not seen the stream could this be why? (Dumb question right?)

I have a Nexus on the way just in case it's a bad modded Mik3 that flashes good.

Is there an easy way to tell if the cards are looped other than the no ATR???

i have ohm meter which i will start at 2000 this is correct right? switches 2 and 5 down?

I've ordered mili's unlocker for the higher rev's, but the yellow mikobu needs no adjusting for lower rev's and easily popped my cards. It also has the 4619 chip and I havn't heard of any looped cards on lower revs with it. My thoughts.

i unlocked one card in about a minute. put second card in looped in about a minute. sure wish we had some unlooping software. used nagamaster ohms set at 2100.
