Newbie needs help

I've dish 301 receiver with rom102. I had dish subscription since 2004 till mar 06, then I got FTA and now FTAs are down....so thought lemme use my good old receiver.

My questions are

1. How do I know what rev my rom102 is?
2. I see the 301 receiver on this site is labeled 301.013. how do i find out whether mine is 301.013 or something else?

3. What is the minimum do i need to do to get started?

1 Stuff the card in your reciever without signal hooked up. Go to system info, it will tell you rom & rev.
2 It will say on the sticker on the back of the receiver Model dp301 Rev 01*
3 Unlock your card, program it with public blocker, change your box keys & IRD#

Put card in your 301 receiver plug in receiver plug in to TV or computer use remote to select menu go to system info look for rev of card. Or use ISO programmer or unlocker and read the card. On the back of your receiver there will be a sticker that says 301.005 or 301.010 or 301.13. You will need a White Nexus unlocker and an ISO programmer at miminimum, you may need a J-tag to. if it is married ex sub you can get buy with just a unlocker I guess. now that n2edit supports unlocker with v. 2.3, I used it and seems to work good. I didn't like nagramaster and still don't. if it was march of 06 and you unhooked it from the sattelite feed, I am going to guess it is rev 105, or rev 106.

It says the model is DP301 on back of the receiver as well as system info. There is no dot after 301 not any other number. Also in the system info, it says software: P341 below DP301

The card is 102 Rev 107

Do I need Jtagging? And with this info what should be my plan of actions?

The sticker will say REG ID o** on the top right.Rv 107 can be unlocked so you need an unlocker or better yet find somebody that has one & some practise at them & get your card unlocked. If your going with public info you will need to jtag your reciever and change IRD # & box keys. You will need an Iso programmer to program your card.
