Anyone...please help.
I modded my WhiteViper Unlooper 99% according to the pictures posted by 1054ranger. The only change was with the black line (see attached pic). I could not solder to the trace (indicated by the purple box to "CONNECT HERE"), so I followed the trace and soldered pin 13 of chip 4 (IC7) to pin 13 of chip 3 (IC6).
With the mod all said and done, when I put my ROM102 card into the loader, I get in Nagramaster the message, "This does not appear to be a valid ROM102 ATR". However, in NAGRA2edit, I get an ATR message from the same card with my modded 3.6864 crystal ISO programmer.
SO, I'm assuming that I did something wrong with the mod to the loader.
These mod photos apparently came from the "CC" site (my understanding is that the site is no longer up). Are there any other sites that someone can PM me for me to search for discussions on the White Viper mod?
Also, in the original photos posted by 1054ranger, there is a message that "more cuts may be needed here...these 4 pins only connect where shown in color." Does that mean I need to cut the traces that these pins were connected to originally? (I did not cut any traces coming to these pins b/c the message was unclear with the "may" part). Or should I clip the pins off the circuit board and bend them up to solder to the colored wires?
Anything else that could cause the card not to be read by the "modded" loader?
Any help would be appreciated especially by those that successfully modded this unlooper.
P.S. How do I embed photos into my thread (if allowed) instead of an attachment?
