There's talk about getting the manufactures and ground support like ham radio clubs who have there own sat to beam all fta media to one sat and beam it down it would double sales and be 100% legal I myself would support that program. There would be no hijacked channels and everyone will enjoy it more.

what would the FCC do about that?

Sounds like a good idea, as long as the only channels would be the original FTA channels, nothing other than that. I really can't see that happening though, too much would have to come together to accomplish such a feat. People that own the other satellites would have to agree to it, I suppose, etc etc etc. Not really feasible in any short amount of time, in my opinion.

Yeah you can use some of the extra bandwidth on my ku band satellite which is orbiting around your anus:D !

Dude, who do you think has satellites in orbit that are just there waiting to donate to some hacking cause.

Wake up and smell the coffee, man.

I used to work on payload electronics for satellites and at that time it cost $1000 per gram to send stuff into space. We sent up huge waveguide and coax multiplexers and switches which cost millions of dollars to send in orbit. Satellite lifespan used to be 5-7 years, so trust me no one has spare bandwidth on satellites to be given away for free.

LMAO,
