Rom102 Rev103 - Need help.

Just got an ISO programmer and here is what I read in n2edit v 2.1 (the highest version that will work the 2.3 and 2.5 won't read at all)

Can somebody please explain me what it means. Is it locked and I need an unlocker?

where did you get the card? what do the higher N2edits say?

I got this card brand new with the receiver 301.013 a few years ago at sams warehouse. The n2edit v2.3 and 2.5 give's me this information

All rom 102 card need to be unlocked and it appears yours never has - "failed to read card". Might try net.framework 2.0 to see if V2.3 will work.

Yes I know that it never has been unlocked - wasn't shure if it needs to be unlocked or not. Ordered orange nexus - will see what's happend after I play with it for a while :)

It is very apparent that the unlocking process is risky. It seems once you get the unlocker set correctly they work, but cards are getting very expensive. I sure would like to see some unlooper advances.
Has anyone read anything about the possibility of unlooping rom102's ?

Sorry I can't help you, because I'm in the same phase of Rom102 as you are. I have been reading, taking notes and printing every thing that make sense. I will be getting a card soon and hope I gat it programmed instead of looped.

Anyone with the same setup should be able to tell you what script to use and settings for the unlocker. The other option would be to look for someone to unlock the card for you. I notice some ads on other sites offering that service. Maybe there's someone hanging around here that can do that.

Well looks like that exactly what I did. If you look through the messages you will see that I have ROM 102 Rev 103 card and Orange Nexus on the way wich should work fine for my Rev103. As far as I know I need to flash NEWD13 with XPAtmel to the Nexus and then use Nagramaster to glitch just like it explains here (http://www.bellexpress.vu/glitch.html). Right?
About looking for someone to unlock - I don't really consider myself a free-TVer and I like to do everything myself.

Ok. Got the Orange Nexus today. Was able to flash (dip 1 and 6 down)NEWD13 to it sucsessfuly with xpatmel. Here is the responce I got:

I had a similar problem as you.

I took different approach and unlocked virgin card with white nexus. It popped in a few seconds. Was able to read it back with nagramaster after that and got info.

My iso programmer doesn't read this specific card and just the others so I flashed
the loader with newrds and user mr_un2 to read and write to the card instead that using the iso programmer.

I used the clear Nexus from Mili's store and used Nagramaster, got the same response you got about not a valid atr, etc. It is a problem with that progy. Next, I just clicked on the menu bar at the top and clicked on unlocker - clicked on UNLOCK, and 15 seconds later card was unlocked. Tried to write card with my ISO INFINITY programmer using N2EDIT version 2.3 and looped my card. THIS IS THE WRONG VERSION TO USE! I then did some serious reading and found that I must use BETA 7 or higher, or I would loop the card! I found Beta 9 in the File Downloads section, used that and it recognizes the ATR, reads and writes perfectly! NO PROBLEMS FROM THERE ON OUT!!!

Okay - I see those read/reset functions doesn't really work. Anyway I tried both nagramaster and winexplorer with 'best102_ND13_A0FF-INTERCEPT-autoVCC_20.xvb' script. All I get is '-------NoRsp+--------NoRsp+----NoRsp+-----------NoRsp+--' and so on. If I turn the pot down I get more 'NoRsp+' closer together. If I turn it up all I get is '---------'. Looks like something is not going right here. Should I stick with that first settings and let it run or should I change something. Please help me out here.
BTW I have Orange Nexus and Rom102 Rev103

You should unplug power supply and plug back in between operations. It sounds like your close, just need to make very slight turn on your pot. I mean "VERY" slight! Also, check your program configurations also!

Please explain more about that power supply thing. Between what operations? Is it safe to unplug while the program working? I read somewhere that it might loop the card. Also I've replaced pot from 5k to 1k so I can get more precise adjustments. Which way should I go? Looks like if I make a very slight adjustments I just get more '-----' between NoRsp+'s or more often NoRsp+'s. What really those NoRsp+ means???

I mean right before you start a script. If your getting all "----------------------" turn voltage down till you get all the "norsp(no response)" then go up in voltage.

Hmmm - something is really stinky with my loader - can not get any pluses in there all I can get is a whole line or even a two sometimes of minuses and then one NoRsp+. Also the metal part of a regulator gets very hot - I can not hold my fingers on it - is it normal? And the green light is on all the time, never seen red do anything - is this right to?

Ok here is an update. Fixed the 'no provider problem' on all of my cards. The problem was my computer. Changed to older PIII 733Mhz - still running WinXP and it shows D*sh Network on all three cards now.

Now - I put my dip 1 only down (That's what did it fore me!) in my orange nexus - run the script 'best102_ND13_A0FF-INTERCEPT-autoVCC_20.xvb' with winexplorer - seen those plus signs (never seen them before) popped the card in less then a minute:
