Figured I'd put this in rumors this time to avoid some negativity or conflicts within the family here sence it be moved.

This has been an excruciating wait for the industry. It's not so much the lack of tv as it is the attitude of the freetver's demanding their fix. There has been much speculating if this could even be fixed, due to the impossibility of reverse engineering this hash. Some paid N.A. coders for what they thought was a fix and still have no solution. Once enough was known about the hash, Viewsat finally stepped up, bit the bullet, and did what needed to be done to finally get the FULL Maprom from the card. I have now been given the ok to show a small snippet of what these coders were up against, even AFTER they got the whole picture of the die. The pic represents a small section ( about 2" X 2") of page 1 of their findings. There are millions of dots. These are the binary instructions in machine code. All 38 pages of this must be decyphered and converted. This has been the delay since the "They did it" post. The software routines are now finished, and the hardware routines will be finished soon. I have been assured that we will have a solution by Wednesday, as a matter of fact, the lead coder/engineer has a flight booked then for his well deserved vacation (paid for by VS of course) Hang on a wee bit longer people, the solution is near. Once released there will be no doubt ever again who the leader in the industry is. FULL wide open Tv coming soon to a TV near you.. FINALLY!

THis "news" does not warrant to be a sticky sorry. It is a Braille letter from Mr. ICAN'TViewsat. Even if they can COPY a MAP (it is not a code it is a hardware) they'd need to incorporate it on a chip and then embed it in recievers.

Thanks for the update Crow. I love reading updates from TDG. I haven't laughed this hard since the the last TDG update. Please keep them coming!!!

Who knows, there might be a fta fix on the way, but it certainly won't involve anything that TDG has mentioned in any of his ~42 updates.

I would think you would give him the time to be proven wrong, thats all.. Let him run the fta section the way he wants.. He has not done you wrong yet.. If there is no fix by WED.. You unsticky it, move it to the bullshit thread section, and he eats crow with DSSGUY..

I read all these negative posts and usually I ignore them , but lately I find it pathetic the attitudes some of you people have towards FTA.
Give it a break, OK we know you don't like them and can't get over the fact that there are other means of getting TV other than plastic. FTA has shown the ability to adapt to what dishnet and bev have done in the past and it seems it will do the same again, so why do you people want it to die so bad is beyond me. The more different devices available to the community the better, it keeps charlie busy with taking down other devices besides plastic. Just try and buying a 102, hard to find at a reasonable price.

It is the FTA rumour mill that is keeping FTA people from investigating other forms of testing.

No one really cares what device anyone is testing with, though we all have our favorites. Sometimes our favorite method gets ecm'ed. It should be second nature for a tester to have a back-up device.

The FTA group seems to have dug their heels in and refuse to test with any other method. Everyone else is happy to move on to their back-up device.

The topic of Viewsat and FTA is being hit hard because they brought in on by themselves. No other group is making the kind of claims that they are.

Milli just wants to make sales from all the stuff one has to buy just to get plastic running or sell one of the many gimmick devices out there such as AVR-X Magic Cards 1 & 2, (how long did 2 last again) Detonator or something to that affect, and now the Cumulators or Armulators or Romulators. Every week it's something new and guess what, Milli you seem to be the only site selling this stuff. If I'm wrong I apologize, but please point me to another site selling Romulators. FTA will be fixed and if it isn't my Coolsat 4000 more than paid for itself despite the crummy EPG and I didn't have to solder, jtag, or cut holes in order to program it. I had a magic card when they first came out by the way and it was easy to program regardless of what others stated, but support for it sucked.

I was commenting on people being complete assholes in the forums. I just can't get over some of the reactions I read. Hell it wasn't too long ago people posted that the rom 102 had been compromised and people were laughed out of the forums being called a scammer. Now people post their comments on the fta having a fix and people go nuts once again. Many many FTA owners also use other means of testing.If you are using 102's you would be an idiot only owning 1 card, always have back up. Its a forum , people post thoughts and ideas, ya don't agree too bad , it's thier opinion.

Well back to the topic at hand. In case people are not aware yet. TDG has recently been banned from a couple sites. Also at another rather prominent site where he was allowed to post, where alot of the copy and pasting has originated from, that site has asked him to refrain from posting any further until he actually has a fix, and his honoured guest status has been demoted, they have also made a strict new rule that all will be banned for talking or c&p anymore about viewsat and tdg.
Alot of folks don't realize but us old schoolers and admins know how full of crap he is, and forums all over the net are being flooded with his jargon. Admins have more important things to worry about than continually reassuring there members for what ever reason or other.
Does anyone remember his famous "retirement letter"? I could go on, but in all reality, everytime we talk about this guy were all wasting our time.

Do you live under a rock? What stores sell hardware ? You are clueless ! There are a dozen or more stores on the web that sell testing hardware. The good thing about Mili's site is everyting he sells works when he is selling it to the best of his knowledge.
Mili never sold a ROMULATOR and he pulled the AVR-x as soon as he knew it was useless. There are a couple sites still advertising Romulators and AVR-x's and other stuff that does not work. DSSFTP does not sell anything that is not working that I can see. He Never sold Armulators either.
I hope FTA does come back so DN has somthing more importiant to fuck with then 102 cards and leave testers alone.
You should get your facts right before you pontificate.

You guys chill It's been a long time since FTA worked, so I would say they are dead. If they are reborn then good, but for now you are better of understanding that FTA as you know it may never be the same.
